Roy's Review: Chikara "Blink" Results 3/4/2017

Here is my review of Chikara's Blink on March 4, 2017 in Kennebunk, Maine.

Match 1: Dez Peloton: Donald Kluger & Jasper Tippins defeated Los Ice Creams: El Hijo del Ice Cream & Ice Cream Jr
The wrestling wasn't good in this one but it was a fun match that got the kids involved. Dez Peloton had all the kids in the audience come up and chop the Ice Creams. Then later they had a couple kids melt one of the Ice Creams with a hair dryer.
4/10

Match 2: Mr. Touchdown defeated Cajun Crawdad
This was a solid match. Mr. Touchdown is really good and should get a run as Grand Champion. Mr. Touchdown got the win with a suplex from ring apron back into the ring.
6/10

Match 3: Oleg the Usurper defeated Wani by DQ
Good match with some good back and forth action. Oleg is good big man and I was impressed with Wani. The DQ came when Kobald came out and begged Oleg to fix him. Oleg was about to attack him when Wani hit Oleg with a boom handle.
7/10

Match 4: Chuck Taylor & Dustin defeated Solo Darling & Travis Huckabee
I found this match to be really boring except for Dustin.  All Chuck Taylor did was sing to Solo Darling. I would really like to see Dustin vs. Huckabee in a one on one match. Taylor got the win with a roll up on Darling.
3/10

Match 5: Ophidian defeated Jeremy Leary
Very good match here. Ophidian is awesome.  I don't understand why he isn't more well know.  Good back and forth action with Leary playing a good heel.  Ophidian got the win with a double knee of the top rope. After the match Leary attacked Ophidian but Ophidian fought back and hypnotized Leary and made him dance.
8/10

Match 6: Tag Team Champions Sonny DeFarge & Cornelius Crummels defeated The Force: Officer Warren Barksdale & Officer Bruno Meloni in 2 out of 3 Falls Match to retain
Good match and a solid main event. There was good action throughout with some comedy thrown in. DeFarge and Crummels are a good team with some really good double team moves. I would like to see them wrestle in other places. The first fall went to the Champions with a small package. The 2nd fall went to the challengers when they reversed a small package when the referee was distracted. The 3rd and deciding fall went to the champions after a underhook flipping splash.
8/10

Match 7: Juke Joint Lucas Calhoun defeated Hermit Crab
This was an encore match. It started quickly and spilled to the floor. Calhoun hit a somersault off the top to the outside and smacked his head on the floor. Fortunately he was ok. Hermit Crab then hit a moonsault to the floor. The end came quickly after this when Calhoun hit a samoan drop for the win.
4/10

This show scored a 40 out of 70 for an overall score of 57.14%. Going in I wasn't really expecting much because I don't really care for Chikara anymore but I was surprised. The show was fun and had two very good matches.
