Limitless Wrestling Fresh Blood October 23, 2021

Limitless Wrestling returned to Yarmouth on October 23rd, with Fresh Blood. Fresh blood is the annual show that is supposed to highlight new talent in a Limitless Wrestling ring. This year we got Davey Richards, Trisha Adora,
“Dime Piece” Aaron Rourke and a returning "Top Shelf" Troy Nelson. KC Navarro was advertised to face Ace Romero, however he was unable to attend the show.

Ace Romero pinned Ricky Smokes with Ava Everett

Ace came out to thank the crowd, he announced that Navarro wasn't there. Ava came out distracting Ace leading Ricky Smokes attacking Ace from behind. Smokes is part of Ava's new stable ARTE. Smokes held his own against Ace, even with Ava interfering on her charges behalf. She was the unlucky recipient of a pounce that was meant for Smokes. Ace got the pin with a package piledriver.

Prestigious: "Main Attraction" Mac Daniels, Channing Thomas, & "Notorious" BRG defeated Love Doug and Waves & Curls: Jaylen Brandyn & Traevon Jordan when BRG pinned Brandyn

Waves and Curls have quite the entrance, coming out to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody". Prestigious jumped the babyfaces during introductions and maintained the upper hand for the majority of the contest until Jordan tagged in making the big comeback.

The finish was pretty damn awesome, Brandyn went for a frankensteiner on Thomas, who reversed it getting Brandyn into position for their assisted doomsday device finish. I can't wait to watch this back because it was so fluid. Loved it!

Davienne submitted Charles Mason with a Boston Crab

Mason, appears to no longer be associated with Ava which is a shame as I enjoyed their partnership. I'm a fan of Mason's style in the ring, and if I thought Davienne had a rough encounter last week with Masha Slamovich then that was just a tune up for this match.

Very stiff, very hard hitting. Mason tried to use a chair on Davienne, she managed to throw it into his face and then locked in the Boston Crab for the submission.

“Dime Piece” Aaron Rourke defeated “Iron” Rip Byson by disqualification

Ava Everett brought out "Dime Piece" Aaron Rourke, a new member of ARTE. Ripper came out to challenge Rourke much the delight of the fans. Price and Ripper are two guys that the fan support has been steadily rising the last couple of years.

This match was pretty chaotic from the get go with Ava and Smokes running interference and causing distractions. Ripper hit a pretty sweet Doctor Bomb on Rourke. Rourke attempted to hit Rip with the ARTE canvas, but Ripper got it away from him and put Rourke's head through it, the ref disqualified Ripper.

Big Beef  pinned “American Wolf” Davey Richards

This match is not at all what I expected. Davey Richards is a very technically sound wrestler, who can also go with the best of them. Every match I've seen from Big Beef is a stiff brawling fight, but Beef knows him some professional wrestling.

I loved this match! And the fans didn't appreciate what they were seeing as Richards put on a clinic. Beef was giving it right back as these two had an excellent strong style match. I was extremely shocked when Beef got the pin after a piledriver. Hard fought and well earned victory.

Circus Ninjas: The Mane Event: Jay Lion & Midas Black and “Ghetto Ninja” Nolo Kitano defeated MSP: DangerKid & Aiden Aggro and “Top Shelf” Troy Nelson

It was great seeing Troy Nelson back in the ring tonight, it's been far too long since this Limitless original stepped foot in the ring. This was another great trios match and the fans were behind everyone so when Lyon got the pin on Nelson they celebrated the finish of a good match.

Becca pinned Trish Adora

My first time seeing Trish Adora live and she's even better in person. This was a great match, as I think we all knew it would be. This is the first time these two have ever faced each other. A very hard fought contest and I thought, for sure, Trish would get the win. However Becca battled back and finished Adora with her 450 splash.

Post match Brad Cashew, who had been watching the show with the fans all night, ran in the ring and hit Becca in the face with his text book and a spin kick. Both of these shots, especially the book looked exceptionally brutal. Cashew was still reeling from his 41 second loss to her last week at Dancing on Thin Ice in Hermon.

Number 1 Contender: “The Prize” Alec Price pinned JT Dunn

WHAT A MATCH! Dunn had his fans in the audience but 98 percent of the crowd was solidly behind the Prize City OG. Excellent match, go watch this when it's posted on IWTV. Referee Kevin Quinn ate and elbow and while he was down Dunn hit a NASTY tombstone piledriver on a chair for what ended up being a two count.

Price hit the Prize Kick for the win and will go on to face AG for the Limitless World Championship in November.

It was an awesome night of wrestling. My only issue, was there were multiple face vs. face matches and it can make it difficult for the crowd to pick a side.

Limitless returns November 13th in Yarmouth!

Lack of Updates

 Hey yo,

I want to thank all those that continue to read this blog and check out my posts. It really means a lot when people check out my hard work.  Thankfully I have a lot of great articles I've posted in the last 6 1/2 years that are still informative.

The lack of updates is not because I haven't been watching or going to wrestling, it because of my job.  Since July I have just been swamped at work, long hours and working my days off.  In the last 19 days I had 1 day off.  So when I get home I have no interest in sitting behind a computer, yet again.

I have two shows to write about, the Pine State Pro Wrestling debut in Augusta, and Limitless Wrestling Thin Ice at the Morgan Hill Event Center in Hermon.  Both fun shows, but I haven't found to time or energy to write about them.  Hell I'm going to wrestling tonight and the only reason I am writing this is because I'm passing time waiting for Roy to get here or I would already be heading south to the venue.

I also haven't posted any new posts about signed cards, and I have added many to my collection.  I have ideas for posts and I'll get to them.  I never wanted the blog to feel like something that I had to do, but something that I really enjoyed doing.  And I do, I just don't have the time and as I don't monetize this it's not a priority right now.

So thanks for sticking with me and I will update more in the near future.

Until Next Time!

Limitless Wrestling: Dancing on Thin Ice October 15, 2021

On October 15, 2021 Limitless Wrestling returned to the Morgan Hill Event Center in Herman, Maine for Dancing On Thin Ice!  Mikey, Canaan, and I headed up and had some dinner before the show and Mikey wanted to go to Hot Topic at the Bangor Mall for a Birthday coupon he had.

This was Fandango's first indie match in Maine since 2005 and his first match in Maine since a WWE house show in Portland in December 2017.

We watched the show from the balcony and many it's such a cool unique view.  I love sitting from row, but at future shows at tis venue we'll be watching from the balcony.

“Iron” Rip Byson pinned Champ Mathews with Connor Murphy

This is the match that were were supposed to get at Pine State Pro Wrestling by Ripper wrecked his truck and couldn't make the show.  Very good match between these two, Ripper continues to shine and Mathews is one of the all time best in Maine.

Becca pinned Brad Cashew in 31 seconds

Brad came out, was all kinds of cocky, and got beat in 31 seconds.  It's going to be tough living this one down.

Sidney Bakabella’s Slaughter: Max Smashmaster & Mortar defeated The Mane Event: Jay Lion & Midas Black when Mortar pinned Lyon

Bakabella came out, tore down Limitless, tore down Joey Eastman and bought our his Slaughterhouse, featuring a returning Max Smashmaster.  Max hadn't wrestled in Limitless since January 2017, in fact later in 2017 he stepped way from the ring taking a 4 year hiatus.  He did do some commentary for Limitless for a bit.

This was a good tag team match.  Smashmaster played the big man role splendidly, and the Mane Event are just an awesome tag team.  Bakabella was excellent as well, no surprise there.  This was just a fun wrestling match.

“The Prize” Alec Price pinned Eddie Edwards with the prize kick

I was much looking forward to this match as soon as I learned that it was happening.  The wave of momentum that Price is riding in Limitless has been unreal the last two years.  The crowd is fully behind the Prize City OG.  This was an excellent match that lived up to the hype that I built in my mind.  Big pop when Price got the pin.

Street Fight: Alexander Lee pinned Slade with a backpack through a door

The last few weeks here in Maine we've had multiple matches that were advertised as being bloody, warning fans of the violence and stating how bad it was going to be.  This match was not advertised that way and this match was more violent and bloodier than either of those.

Slade came out first and Lee jumped him on the way to the ring just like Slade did two months ago in their first encounter.  This got violent in a hurry, chair, barbed wire chair, a tub barbed wire, thumbtacks, a door.  I loved it!  I thought for sure Slade would get the win so we would have a third match, but I was happy the Lee continued his win streak.

MSP: DangerKid & Aiden Aggro defeated Ava Everett & Ricky Smokes (replacing Charles Mason) when Kid pinned Ava

Charles Mason was unable to attend the match and Ricky Smokes filled in. Competitive tag team match that saw Ava bossing Smokes around, and he appeared to enjoy it.  MSP was in control most of the match and got the win after and assisted lung blower that looked pretty rough.

I love Ava, by the way.  She is on fire right now, promos, gear, ring work, facial expressions and personality.  I look forward to seeing her every show to see what she does next.

Davienne submitted Masha Slamovich with a Boston Crab

This was the super stiff match that I thought it would be.  I don't think Davienne has been rough up this much in a Limitless ring in a long time. I thought for sure Masha would walk out the victor in this, but Davienne battled back and got the win.

The Release Party: Dirty Dango, Ace Romero, & Limitless World Champion: “Alternative” Anthony Greene defeated Prestigious: "Main Attraction" Mac Daniels, Channing Thomas, & "Notorious" BRG when Dango pinned Daniels

AG & Ace came out to Take Me Home Tonight, which was cool.  Dango got the solo entrance to Sober by Tool. Big pop for Dango.

This was a great six man tag team match, it was cool seeing Dango live on a Maine indie show again.  Prestigious really has become not only a dominate Trio's tag team, but they work so damn well together.  I knew at some point someone would jump off the balcony at this venue, I just didn't think it would be Dango.

I'm excited to see Dango come back to Limitless again, it would be cool if Tyler Breeze came in and we got Breezango vs. MSP.

Limitless returns on October 23 with Fresh Blood featuring, Davey Richards, Trish Adora, and JT Dunn vs. Alec Price in a number one contendership match.
