Wrestling Merch I Saw Junking

In 2025 my wife and I had the house sided and did a lot of work on the inside.  To help decorate the house we've been going junking at flea markets, antique malls, and even yard sales.  We see a lot of cool stuff and sometimes I find wrestling stuff and I thought I would share on the blog some of these items.

We went to a big vintage sale at the Union Fairgrounds in Union, Maine.  It was mostly clothes with little of anything else, but I did see these items at a one booth.

Hulk Hogan t-shirt from 1989 that they were asking $98 for it.  I thought it was a bit ridiculous until I looked it up on ebay and saw one for $200 and poshmark for $500.  I had some Hogan shirts back in the day, I even still have my No Holds Barred shirt that I bought at my first WWF show in 1989, it's signed by Hogan as well.

I had both of these NES: Nintendo Entertainment Systems games when I was a kid.  Released in January 1989 WWF WrestleMania was the first WWF video game released on a home gaming console.  You could be WWF Superstars: Hulk Hogan, AndrĂ© the Giant, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, Bam Bam Bigelow and The Honky Tonk Man.  Bam Bam did a cartwheel which was bad ass!

Tag Team Wrestling was an arcade game that came out in 1983 in Japan.  I remember playing it at the arcade back in the day, and even now you can at Fun Spot in New Hampshire.  It was later made for the NES game console, and others, being released in October 1986.

We stopped at a new antique store in Pittston on Route 27, this poster was not for sale but was very cool!  The show on the poster is at the Portland Expo on Tuesday August 10th.  It doesn't list a year however in the years that Bruiser Brody wrestled of those years that August 10th fell on a Tuesday were in 1971, 1976, & 1982.  Using that data I could find no results on Cagematch, however on History Of WWE I found this listing:

WWWF @ Portland, ME – Expo Building – August 10, 1976 (1,600)
Kevin Sullivan pinned Rocky Tomayo at 11:03
Johnny Rodz fought Johnny Rivera to a 20-minute-time limit draw
SD Jones defeated Doug Gilbert via disqualification at 14:00
Chief Jay Strongbow, Billy White Wolf, & Ivan Putski defeated Bruiser Brody & WWWF Tag Team Champions the Executioners in a Best 2 out of 3 falls match

Also at this shop they had this Goldberg figure.  I actually had this and even remember pre-ordering it at Kaybee Toys when it was announced.  Released by San Francisco Toymakers in 1998 this 12 inch was a lame because it was not to scale with other WCW figures.

Goldberg: The Losses

Back when Goldberg debuted I initially bought into the hype, but then I became disenfranchised with him including is first run in the WWE.  He second run in the WWE I could care less about as well.  That being said he possible the only wrestler whose career lasted longer than a minute where you can count the number of loses he suffered, here they are.

This first set of matches are where Goldberg was directly involved in the finish.

July 24, 1997 WCW Saturday Night taping Dark Match, Atlanta, Georgia
Chad Fortune pinned Bill Goldberg

December 27, 1998 WCW Starrcade Washington DC
No Disqualification Match: Kevin Nash pinned WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Goldberg to win the championship

Anyone my age remembers this for the screw job finish that it was.  Fist Discro runs in and gets destroyed, the Bam Bam Bigelow runs in and is tossed out by Goldberg and while the referee and security tend to Bigelow Scott Hall returns dressed as security and hits Goldberg with a cattle prod leading to the jackknife powerbomb and pin.

October 25, 1999 WCW Nitro Phoenix, Arizona
Bret Hart pinned WCW United States Champion: Goldberg to win the Championship

The last segment before this match had Hall & Nash in the ring cutting a promo where Goldberg ran out and speared both men.

This match was okay.  Hart had a hairline fracture in his leg and Goldberg worked the leg the majority of the match asking the referee to stop it.  Hart jumped on Goldberg's back with a sleeper hold and has Mikey J was checking for a choke Goldberg slipped Hart off onto him bumping the referee.  Goldberg then clotheslined Hart to the floor.

Hall, Nash, & Sid ran in, after taking out Hall and Nash Golberg was caught by a big boot from Sid.  He then was chokeslammed by Hall, side suplexed by Nash, and powerbombed by Sid.  They all left the ring, Hart slid back in pinning Goldberg, who kicked out just after three.

December 5, 1999 WCW House Show Chicago, Illinois
WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Bret Hart defeated Goldberg

Hall & Nash interfere causing the ref to signal for a disqualification.  Hart asks to re-start the match.  The referee does.  Hall, Nash, & Jarrett interfere, Bret doesn't see it and pins Goldberg after. Taken from a report on DDT Digest.

I would wager there was a referee bump and Hart was on the floor during the beat down much like their match on October 25th.

December 19, 1999 WCW Starrcade Washington DC
No Disqualification Match: WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Bret Hart defeated Goldberg

The ref gets bumped and Roddy Piper comes out.  He gets in the ring just has Hart applies the sharpshooter and immediately calls for the bell, ala the Montreal Screw Job.  Piper then takes the title and walks towards the back, Hart catches up at the entrance way where Piper hands him the belt.

This was the match where Hart was concussed by a Goldberg kick that essentially would end Hart's in ring career.

December 20, 1999 WCW Nitro Baltimore, Maryland
Bret Hart defeated Goldberg for the vacant WCW World Heavyweight Champion

The ref is bumped, Bret Hart locks Goldberg in a figure four.  Hall and Nash run in with baseball bats and attack Goldberg.  Hart breaks the hold and takes his licks with the baseball bat.  Roddy Piper runs in and attacks Hart who is pinning Goldberg, the ref counts 1, Hart is pushed off Goldberg by Piper, the referee counts two and three then awards the title to Hart, who wasn't pinning Goldberg.  Jeff Jarrett runs out and hits Piper with a guitar.

Nash, Hall, Hart, and Jarrett declare themselves the nWo.  Incidentally Hart was the World Champ, Jarrett the US Champ, and Hall & Nash Tag Team Champs.

July 24, 2000 WCW Nitro Cleveland, Ohio
No Disqualification Match: WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Booker T defeated Goldberg

This match last only a couple of minutes.  Booker T attacked Goldberg in the aisle during his entrance.  In the ring Goldberg got the best of Booker T until Jeff Jarrett ran in hitting Goldberg with a chair, who no sold it and speared Jarrett.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller ran hitting Goldberg with a spin kick, Booker T hit and axe kick and the Book End for the three count.  Goldberg kicked out on three then speared and jackhammered Booker.

September 17, 2000 WCW Fall Brawl Buffalo, New York
No Disqualification: Scott Steiner defeated Goldberg

Goldberg had Steiner in position for a Jackhammer when Vince Russo ran in and hit Goldberg with a bat three times.  The action when to the floor where Steiner bodyslammed Goldberg through the table.  The match continued with Goldberg powering out a Steiner Recliner.

Goldberg was sitting on the top rope when Midajah hit Goldberg with a lead pipe and Russo it him with the baseball bat.  Goldberg then powered out of another Steiner Recliner.  Russo attempted to attack Goldberg with the bat but it was blocked.  Steiner then his Goldberg in the midsection and head with the lead pipe.

Steiner applied his finisher for the third time but Goldberg was unconscious so the referee called for the bell.

January 14, 2001 WCW Sin Indianapolis, Indiana
No Disqualification: Totally Buff: Buff Bagwell & Lex Luger defeated Dewayne Bruce & Goldberg

A fan from the audience sprays mace in Goldberg's face then Luger unloads on Goldberg with a chair outside and then inside the ring.  Luger then lifted Goldberg up on his shoulders for the worst blockbuster ever before pinning him.  There was an additional stipulation that if Goldberg lost he would be forced to retire from wrestling.

July 20, 2003 WWE Raw House Show San Jose, California
World Heavyweight Champion: Triple H pinned Goldberg

According to the report in the Pro Wrestling Torch newsletter this match featured a couple ref bumps and Randy Orton and Ric Flair interfered before Triple H got the pin with the pedigree.

August 24, 2003 WWE SummerSlam Phoenix, Arizona
Elimination Chamber: World Heavyweight Champion: Triple H defeated Chris Jericho, Kevin Nash, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, & Goldberg

Goldberg eliminated Orton, Michaels, and Jericho by pinfall.  Triple H pinned Goldberg after hitting him in the back of the head with a sledgehammer avoiding a spear.

November 17, 2003 WWE Raw Beaumont, Texas
Three on One Handicap Match: Evolution: Batista, Randy Orton, & Triple H defeated Goldberg

December 14, 2003 WWE Armageddon Orlando, Florida
Triple Threat: Triple H defeated WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Goldberg & Kane to win the championship

Triple H pinned Goldberg after Kane chokeslammed him.  Randy Orton, Ric Flair, and Batista all interfered in the match.

April 2, 2017 WWE WrestleMania 33 Orlando, Florida
Brock Lesnar pinned WWE Universal Champion: Goldberg to win the championship

This set of matches are where Goldberg was in the match but was not directly involved in the finish

December 29, 1998 WCW House Show Long Island, New York
WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Kevin Nash defeated Goldberg & Bam Bam Bigelow
I'm guessing Bigelow was pinned

December 30, 1998 WCW House Show Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Kevin Nash defeated Goldberg & Bam Bam Bigelow
I'm guessing Bigelow was pinned

April 26, 1999 WCW Nitro Fargo, North Dakota
Diamond Dallas Page defeated WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Sting, Kevin Nash, & Goldberg to win the Championship

August 2, 1999 WCW Nitro Sioux Falls, South Dakota
Rick Steiner & Sid defeated Goldberg & Sting by DQ

November 8, 1999 WCW Nitro Indianapolis, Indiana
Ladder Match: Scott Hall defeated WCW United States Champion: Bret Hart, Goldberg, & Sid to win the championship

November 22, 1999 WCW Nitro Auburn Hills, Michigan
The Outsiders: Kevin Nash & Scott Hall defeated Goldberg & Sid

November 29, 1999 WCW Nitro Denver, Colorado
Steel Cage: Bret Hart & Chris Benoit defeated Goldberg & Sid and The Outsiders: Kevin Nash & Scott Hall

December 13, 1999 WCW Nitro New Orleans, Louisiana
The Outsiders: Kevin Nash & Scott Hall defeated WCW World Tag Team Champions: Bret Hart & Goldberg to win the championships

June 26, 2000 WCW Nitro Des Moines, Iowa
WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Jeff Jarrett defeated Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, & Goldberg

July 10, 2000 WCW Nitro Jacksonville, Florida
Fatal Four Way: Jeff Jarrett defeated Kanyon, Scott Steiner, & Goldberg

August 13, 2000 WCW New Blood Rising Vancouver, British Columbia
Three Way Dance: Kevin Nash defeated Scott Steiner & Goldberg

September 4, 2000 WCW Nitro Dallas, Texas
Triple Cage War Games: WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, & Vince Russo defeated Booker T, Sting, Goldberg, and Kronik: Brian Adams & Bryan Clarke

In his career Goldberg was only directly involved in the loss of a match 14 times.  Of those only twice was it a clean finish in a straight up one-on-one match with no special stipulations or outside interference.  June 24, 1997 in a dark match to Chad Fortune before his Television debut and his, presumably, final match when Lesnar beat him at WrestleMania 33.

Chad Fortune (left) with Erik Watts as Tekno Team 2000 in the WWF 95/96
Like him or not I doubt anyone else in the career can say the same thing.

Roy's Review Halloween Havoc 1999

Here is my review of WCW Halloween Havoc on October 24, 1999

Ringside: Tony Schiavone announces that Rey Misterio Jr is injured and he and Konnan have been stripped of the Tag Team Titles. A Triple Threat, Falls Count Anywhere has been made featuring Harlem Heat, The First Family and The Filthy Animals combination of Konnan and Billy Kidman

Match 1: Crusierweight Champion Disco Inferno defeated Lash LeRoux to retain

This was a solid opening contest. There were a few botches and a few okward spots but overall a solid fast paced crusierweight match. Good choice for an opener.
7/10

In Ring: Lash LeRoux attackes Disco Inferno and gives him a Whiplash on the title belt.

Earlier Today: Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko arrived at the arena and are met by Saturn. Saturn says that he has been calling them all week and they won't return his calls. Malenko says that he can take The Revolution and stick up his ass. Benoit tells Saturn to relay that to Shane Douglas

Backstage Interview: Mike Tenay w/Harlem Heat. They said that tonight is their night and they will win back the Tag Team Titles.

Match 2: Harlem Heat: Booker T & Stevie Ray defeated The Filthy Animals: Konnan & Billy Kidman and The First Family: Brian Knobbs & Hugh Morrus w/Jimmy Hart in a Falls Count Anywhere Triple Threat Match to win the vacant Tag Team Titles

This was a good fun brawl with tons of chaos all over the place. There were two referees assigned to this one and with good reason. Jimmy Hart got involved, hitting Booker T with a trash can lid. When Booker went after him, Hart ran up the entryway. Knobbs followed and wrecked Booker with a trash can. Stevie Ray also followed and he and Booker beat the piss out of Knobbs with the stage props. They then brawled backstage. In ring Hugh Morrus hit a No Laughing Matter on Konnan threw a table, which appeared to injury Konnan.

Then backstage, Booker slammed a mummy on Knobbs for the win. Tony Schiavone “He hit him with a mummy. He hit him with a mummy.” Heenan “His mummy is here?” Awful. As Harlem Heat was making their way back to ringside, Kidman got a pin on Morrus which caused a ton of confusion both with the wrestlers and the crowd because the live crowd didn't see the backstage pin. What an awful ending that ruined a good brawl.
6/10

Backstage: Ric Flair, with a crowbar, and David Flair arrive at the arena and they look pissed.

In Ring: Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly come out and talk about Ric Flair spanking Kimberly 14 times. DDP challenges Ric Flair to a strap match. Bobby Heenan wets his pants over the strap match. Awful. Strap matches are one of the worst match types ever. On a side note Kimberly's promo was way better than DDP's. His was terrible.

Backstage: Goldberg arrives. He is looking for Sid Vicious and is super pissed.

Backstage Interview: Mike Tenay with Eddie Guerrero, Billy Kidman and Torrie Wilson. Tenay announces that all the members of The Filthy Animals as well as The Revolution are banned from ringside. Kidman says that is a load of crap because they are a team. Tenay asks about the health of Konnan. Eddie says Rey Rey is with him so don't worry. Tenay then asks if Eddie was wearing Ric Flair's watch. Eddie says that was none of his business. Tenay then asks about Eddie's match with Saturn. Eddie says that every Revolution must come to an end and tonight will be Saturn's.

Match 3: Eddie Guerrero defeated Saturn by DQ

Eddie comes out wearing Ric Flair's watch. He gives it to Bobby Heenan so he can hold it for him. This was a good solid match with a good combination of mat wrestling and fast paced action. For some reason the crowd wasn't into this one at all which hurt the match. The DQ came when Ric Flair ran out with a crowbar and attacked Eddie. This would have been much better had it had a proper ending.
7/10

In Ring: Billy Kidman comes out to make the save for Eddie Guerrero but gets wrecked with the crowbar too. Torrie Wilson comes out to check on both Eddie and Kidman but Flair grabs her and lays a big kiss on her and she appeared to like it. Flair leaves but then comes back to get his watch from Heenan.

Backstage: Goldberg is beating the hell out of someone. Officials pull him off and Sid Vicious gets up, bleeding badly, screaming “Is that all you got!”

In Ring: Buff Bagwell says that he has a problem with the 2 new writers from up north that are going to “save” WCW. He says that he also has a problem with Jeff Jarrett. Buff then challenges Jarrett to come out so he can kick his ass. Jarrett comes out with a guitar but Buff beats him up until Lex Luger comes out to get himself a piece of Jarrett. He went to hit Jarrett with the guitar but Jarrett moved and he hit Buff instead. Luger, the dumbass, hit Buff with the guitar handle, it didn't break and most likely injured Buff. Luger then breaks the guitar over the turnbuckle as Jarrett runs away.

Backstage: Mike Tenay is checking on Sid Vicious who is getting his head stitched up. Sid sees the camera and starts flipping out and yells “Let it bleed! Let it bleed!” as he tips over a table.

Backstage: Eddie Guerrero is on the phone telling Misterio and Konnan that they need to come back because they have Filthy Animal business to take care of as he was selling his injuries from earlier.

Match 4: Brad Armstrong defeated Berlyn w/His Bodyguard

They were trying to put this match over as Germany vs. USA. This match was really kind of average and I'm wondering why it was even on the PPV.

It was nothing more than a squash until Armstrong got what was kind of a surprise win he blocked a neckbreaker and got the pin. After the match The Bodyguard came in and attacked Armstrong.
5/10

Backstage Interview: Mike Tenay w/Ric Flair. Flair talks about beating up The Filthy Animals. Flair talks about his strap match DDP and how when he spanked Kimberly, she liked it as did Torrie Wilson when he kissed her. He then says that after he is done with DDP Kimberly is going to get The Nature Boy again.

Match 5: Rick Steiner defeated World Television Champion: Chris Benoit to win the title

This was a solid match but for some reason the crowd wasn't into it. Steiner had the advantage for most of the match but Benoit had a good comeback. The end came when the referee got knocked down, allowing Steiner to bring in a chair. Benoit dodged it and palm striked it into Steiner's face. Benoit then went for a flying headbutt but Steiner threw the chair at him. Dean Malenko then came out and grabbed the chair, and hit Benoit with it. Anyone who didn't see that coming clearly wasn't watching this show. This allowed Steiner get the win. After the match Malenko walked back up the entryway and hugged Saturn who was waiting for him.
7/10

Backstage Interview: Mike Tenay w/Bret Hart. Tenay asks Bret about how his ankle might hinder him in his match with Lex Luger, Luger hit Bret in the ankle with a baseball bat 6 days earlier. Bret says that he as wrestled injured before and this won't be the last time. He then says that tonight he will beat Luger.

Match 6: Lex Luger w/Elizabeth defeated Bret Hart

This match was kinda dumpy. Bret dominated Luger for most of the match showing no signs of any ankle injury. Then they both went over the top to the outside and Bret came up limping. Luger gained the advantage, slapped on a single leg crab and Bret tapped out rather quickly.
4.5/10

Backstage Interview: Mike Tenay w/Goldberg. Tenay asked if Goldberg's actions from earlier have made Sid Vicious more dangerous. Goldberg points to Sid's blood on the floor and says that you see what he does to people and tonight he is going to separate his head from his body.

Ringside: Madusa comes out in a bikini and models the new Nitro Cologne. She dances on the announce table. Then gets down and grabs a microphone. She pretends to put over the cologne but says that you can tell the super powers from New York that this is bullshit. She then dumps the cologne all over Bobby Heenan. Awful.

Match 7: WCW Champion: Sting defeated Hulk Hogan to retain

This was fucking terrible. Hogan no showed his entrance then when he finally came out, he was in street clothes and just laid down so Sting could pin him. The crowd booed the fuck out of this.
0/10

Match 8: Goldberg defeated United States Champion Sid Vicious to win the title

This was kinda dumpy and really disappointed me. The buildup throughout the show made want to see this match. Goldberg busted open Sid early on and that pretty much spelled the end for Sid. Sid was bleeding so bad that it was all over Goldberg too. In the end Sid collapsed because of blood loss, the referee called the match and awarded title to Goldberg. Rick Steiner then came out to help Sid to the back but Sid kept refusing the help and wanted to continue fighting.
4.75/10

In Ring: Sting says he didn't come to Las Vegas for a night off. He came for a fight. He then challenges anyone in the back to a match later on tonight.

Match 9: Diamond Dallas Page w/Kimberly defeated Ric Flair in a Strap Match

The rules of this match were pin or submission not smack all four corners, which was way better. This was a good brawl. They battled all through the crowd. When they got back to ringside, Flair laid a big kiss on Kimberly. This allowed Page to gain the advantage and bust Flair open. They battled back into the ring and Flair worked Page's leg and put on the Figure 4 but Page got out.

Then all of a sudden Page hit the Diamond Cutter and referee Charles Robinson reluctantly counted to 3. Page was pissed at Robinson so he gave him a Diamond Cutter too. Page then started choking Flair with the strap until David Flair came out with a crowbar to help his dad. Kimberly blocked him and kneed him in the nuts. She took the crowbar and gave it to Page who smashed Ric Flair in the nuts with it. Then he gave David Flair a Diamond Cutter. Aside from the abrupt ending to the match, this was pretty good.
7.75/10

In Ring: EMTs come out to help Ric Flair. David Flair and Charles Robinson are both crying.

Backstage: As the EMTs were stretchering Flair to an ambulance, The Filthy Animals came out of nowhere and attacked him while Torrie Wilson video taped it. They stuffed him in the ambulance and drove away.

Match 10: Goldberg defeated WCW Champion Sting to win the title

This was okay for a 3 minute World Title match. The battle spilled to the floor almost instantly. Back in the ring Sting gained the advantage and out of nowhere hit spear on Goldberg.

He no sold it, jumped back up and hit a spin kick on Sting. Goldberg then missed a spear in the corner allowing Sting to hit 3 Stinger Splashes. Goldberg then out of nowhere hit a Spear, then a Jackhammer for the win.
5/10

In Ring: Sting disputes the decision with referee Charles Robinson. Then Sting hits a Scorpion Deathdrop on Robinson.

Overall this show scored a 54 out of 100 for an overall score of 54%. This show was watchable but the overbooking really hurt it. The midcard guys put on some good wrestling matches just the stupid, necessary, interference endings ruined them. Its to bad that they weren't allowed to just go out and wrestle. If that were the case this may have been an awesome show. The main event guys on the other hand, except for Page and Flair, put on a bunch of stinkers. The Sting/Hogan title match was an embarrassment. This entire PPV felt more like an episode of Nitro than something I would want to spend $40 on.

Roy's Review: Starrcade 1999

Match 1: The Mamalukes (Big Vito and Johnny the Bull) w/Tony Marinara defeated Disco Inferno and Lash LeRoux. This was a solid match and a decent opener. All 4 of these guys were super underrated in WCW. The story was that Disco owed Tony Marinara's dad a bunch of money and The Mamalukes were the goons that were sent to collect it but had failed a bunch of times. After the match they put Disco in a body bag, carried him to the back and threw him in the trunk of a car.
6/10

Match 2: Madusa defeated Crusierweight Champion Evan Karagias w/Spice to win the title. It wasn't blatantly obvious that WCW was copying WWF by putting a men's title on a women. Despite Madusa being awful, this was a solid 3:30 match. Madusa actually took a bunch of hard bumps. Spice turned on Karagias, costing him the title.
4.5/10

Match 3: Hardcore Champion Norman Smiley defeated Meng to retain. Meng met Smiley right at the entryway and they battled to the back. Brian Knobbs and Fit Finlay got involved, attacking Meng. They beat him down and let. Then Smiley came out from under a table to get the win.
3.5/10.

Match 4: The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Asya) defeated Jim Duggan and The Varsity Club (Kevin Sullivan, Mike Rotunda and Rick Steiner). This was awful. The Varsity Club were Duggan's mystery partners. If Duggan lost he would have to denounce the USA the next night on Nitro. If Duggan won The Revolution would have to take over his janitor duties for a month. Duggan was fighting in his janitor's carhart suit. The Varisty Club turned on Duggan and beat him up allowing Douglas to leave commentary, where he spent the entire match, to get the pin.
2/10

Match 5: Vampiro w/The Misfits defeated Steve Williams by DQ. If Vampiro wins he gets 5 minutes alone in the ring with Oklahoma. Before the match, The Misfits had locked Oklahoma in a shark cage and brought it out to ringside. The DQ came when Williams attacked the referee.
1/10

Match 6: Vampiro w/The Misfits defeated Oklahoma. Awful.
0/10

Match 7: Creative Control (Ron and Don Harris) and Curt Hennig defeated Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) and Midnight. This was bad. Whichever team won either Harlem Heat or Creative Control would earn a tag title shot. Stevie Ray didn't come out until near the end and didn't help at all. This was the beginning of his 2nd turn on Booker. Midnight got the shit kicked out of her for a good portion of the match. Hennig hit Booker with a loaded fist allowing one of the Harris Bros to get the pin.
3/10

Match 8: Jeff Jarrett defeated Dustin Rhodes in a Bunkhouse match. This was a good brawl until Curt Hennig came out and got involved. They beat the hell out of each other. The end came when they battled up the entryway, Hennig distracted Rhodes, allowing Jarrett to hit him with a guitar for the win.
7/10

Match 9: Diamond Dallas Page defeated David Flair in a Crowbar on a Pole match. Awful just awful.

Match 10: Sting w/Elizabeth defeated Lex Luger. This was terrible. If Sting won Liz would be free of her contract with Luger. During the match Liz turned on Sting and went to spray mace in his eyes but Sting had foreseen the turn and switched her mace with silly string. Later on Sting was going for the Scorpion and Liz whaled him in the head, hard with his bat allowing Luger to get the win. After the match Luger put Sting forearm in a chair and repeatedly jumped on it.
3/10

Match 11: Kevin Nash defeated Sid Vicious in a Finisher Only Match. The first man to hit the powerbomb on the other was the winner. Sid worked Nash's back for most of the match. The referee got knocked down right before Sid hit the powerbomb. Jeff Jarrett then comes out and wrecks Sid with a guitar. Nash then tries for the powerbomb twice but can't do it due to the his injured back, so he just wakes up the referee and tells him he hit a powerbomb. Awful.
2/10

Match 12: United States Champion Chris Benoit defeated Jeff Jarrett in a Ladder Match. Good match here. It was supposed to be Scott Hall defending against Benoit but Hall injured his knee so the stripped him of the belt and gave it to Benoit. Benoit didn't want to win the title that way so he put out and open challenge. Insert Jarrett. These guys beat the hell out of each other and had a good 10 minute ladder match. Benoit even did a flying headbutt off the ladder.
8/10

Match 13: WCW Champion Bret Hart defeated Goldberg in a No DQ match to retain. This would have been a decent match if not for the shitty booking. First off there are no rope breaks in a No DQ match unless its WCW booked by Vince Russo. Secondly 3 referees were knocked down. What the hell is that. The end came when Roddy Piper came out to be referee #4 just as Bret was locking on the sharpshooter. All Piper did was call for the bell and declare Bret the winner. They were building a good story and Bret was doing as great working of Goldberg's leg but the horrible booking flushed all of that down the toilet.
6.75/10

Horrible, just horrible booking. I wanna get the Nitros and Thunders that lead up to this PPV to see just how bad those were too.

Theodore Long Five Minute White Boy Challenge

Back in the spring of 2003 Rodney Mack made his TV debut for the WWE managed by Theodore Long.  Long's character at the time was about the black man being held down by the white man so he started the short lived Theodore Long 5 Minute White Boy Challenge.  Initially Mack faced enhancement talent in the first three outings, then mid-carders Spike & Bubba Ray Dudley before ultimately being defeated in less than 30 seconds by Goldberg and officially ending the gimmick.

Long would join The Coach and Jerry "The King" Lawler on commentary where he would continue his black man being held down by the white man propaganda.

April 21, 2003 Atlanta, GA
defeated Sean Evans with a running powerslam at 1:46

April 28, 2003 Boston, MA
defeated unknown at 1:58
During this match on commentary Long told The Coach he was the only black man he knew who had a calendar with out the month of February on it.  February is Black History Month.  Mack's opponent was never mentioned by name.

May 12, 2003 Philadelphia, PA
defeated Mike & Ken Phoenix in a double challenge
Ken Phoenix would go on to become Kenny of the Spirit Squad.  This night was also the night that the Legion of Doom made a surprise one night return wrestling Tag Team Champions: RVD & Kane

May 19, 2003 Greenville, SC
defeated Spike Dudley by submission with the Black Out cobra clutch at 4:59
This was also the night that Triple H wrestled Ric Flair in the main event and post show they had an impromptu celebration for Flair.

May 26, 2003 Mobile, AL
defeated Bubba Ray Dudley by submission with the Black Out cobra clutch at 2:30

June 9, 2003 Miami, FL
defeated D-Von Dudley by submission with the Black Out cobra clutch at 4:14, this was never officially called a Five Minute White Boy Challenge even though he won the match in less than five minutes.  No reason was given as to why it wasn't.

June 23, 2003 Madison Square Garden
was defeated by Goldberg with the jackhammer in 26 seconds
This was the only Open Challenge Five Minute White Boy Challenge.  Mack tried to attack Goldberg in his pyro and failed.  The Garden was absolutely crazy for Goldberg.

This was the final Five Minute White Boy Challenge, I'm not sure why the concept was dropped as Long's character did not change after and he continued managing Mack.  Possibly because Mack was no longer undefeated.
