My First TNA PPV - Bound For Glory 2025

On October 12, 2025 I attended my TNA Wrestling's Bound For Glory PPV on the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.  This was my first ever TNA PPV, my first TNA live event since December 4, 2009, my 17th wrestling show of the year, and my 2nd wrestling show of the day.

Back at the beginning of the year we had heard rumors that TNA might run a PPV in New England in 2025.  Their last event in New England had been in a TNA One Night Only Hardcore Justice PPV in December 2013 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.  So they were do to run a show up this way.

Then in July they ran two days of TV tapings in Rhode Island, and I figured, that was what we would get.  However shortly after those tapings, their biggest show of the year Bound For Glory, was announced to be held at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, and I knew I couldn't miss it. 

Mikey, Eric Greenleaf and I picked up tickets during the presale and secured out seats this event historic event!  Mikey had gone to the Rhode Island TV taping and this was Greenie's first TNA show.

Not long after TNA announced Bound For Glory, Beyond Wrestling announced a show to be held earlier in the day in Lowell called Bound For the Floor, a single day 8 man tournament of mat based wrestling.  So of course we had to go to that and have a double shot day.

Greenie met me at my house early in the morning, just after 8am.  We headed to Auburn to pick up Mikey and continue the journey south.  We stopped at The Brook casino so Mikey could use his free play, that didn't take long at all.  At the store up the road I found the Diet Coke Lime, it was solid but it needs more Lime.

We got to the venue Taffeta Music Hall, about a half hour before doors were to open.   We got let in just as it started to rain.  Sadly attendance wasn't the best, but that didn't dampen my spirits as we got some fantastic wrestling matches!

I was shocked that we got Timothy Thatcher vs. Drew Gulak as the first match of the first round.  I thought for sure they would be in the semi finals or even the finals.  

After the show we beat feet over to the Tsongas Center, it was only a short drive away and we got parked a few minutes before doors opened.  TNA does pre and post show meet and greets with their wrestlers, which is pretty cool.  Mikey and Eric both bought pre-show meet and greets while only Eric bought post-show meet and greets.  As I did neither when we got into the venue they headed off to do that while I got in the merchandise line.  I bought a TNA Bound For Glory Pin for my pin board at work. 

I walked around the venue and eventually met up with Calvin and we got some food.  The entrance was minimal with only a small set up when they wrestlers were coming out, the aisle was long too with a bend in it.  I very much appreciate the minimalist set up, it harkened back to old school PPV's of the 80's and 90's where the focus was on the in ring wrestling.  Also, to me it meant they sold so many tickets they needed the room for the fans to sit.  Turns out that was probably true as they announced an attendance of 7,794 a new North American record for the company. 

 

Their all time attendance recorded was in January 2009 a house show at Wembley arena in London with 8,100 fans, this also ended up being Hulk Hogan's last match.  Previous North American records was Slammiversary 2025 7,623 fans and Lockdown 2013 with 7,200.  TNA has been on a upward climb for months and I hope it continues for them. 

We all made it to our seats in time for the 6pm count down show, which also served as the TNA Hall of Fame induction ceremonies for The Beautiful People: Angelina Love & Velvet Sky and Mickie James.  That took about 45 minutes, and then we got the only pre-show match for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships as The Iinspiration defeated the Elegance Brand.

Maggie Lee goes by M by Elegance in TNA and I ama huge fan of hers.  I've seen her wrestle at Limitless numerous times and got to see her accompany Ash by Elegance to the ring at NXT Heatwave.  It was very cool to see her wrestler her first TNA PPV match.  

We had a great view of the ring from out seats, unless everyone was standing up of course, but we couldn't see the entrance area very well, but that was cool.  Here are the full show results:

Steve Maclin pinned International Champion: Frankie Kazarian to win the title

Solid match, Maclin was very over with the crowd. Match was a bit short, but it flowed well.

Tessa Blanchard with Victoria Crawford pinned Gia Miller with Jody Threat after hitting her with a roll of quarters.

I'm a Tessa fan, glad to see her back in TNA, seems like she has been working in CMLL more as of late. This was a good storyline with Tessa attaching Gia a few months back leading to her suspension, she got breast implants, she posted a video about it. This was billed as Gia's first TNA match, it was not. Back in 2021 & 2022 she wrestled two matches under the name Rusty Iron.

For only having a couple dozen matches under her belt I thought Gia looked very good, and gave it her all. Tessa looked great and I enjoyed the old school finish of a roll of quarters to the head for the pin.

Call Your Shot Gauntlet: Frankie Kazarian & Nic Nemeth co-won the match with a double pin

This was the only time not seeing the entrance was a bit of a bummer because you couldn't see who was coming out until they were in the ring. The wrestlers were leaving to the back walking or fighting in front of us, that was cool. Crowd was good with the double pin, until they announced two winners instead of continuing the match, then they booed Santino out of the building.

I head to the bathroom and grabbed snack with this match, watched half of it from the top of the building. I need to watch it on the DVD when it comes out. I was surprised the Kelani won.

Hardcore War: The System: Alisha Edwards, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, JDC & Moose defeated Order 4: Tasha Steelz, Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler & Special Agent 0

Order of Entry: Jason Hotch & Eddie Edwards, John Skyler, JDC, Tasha Steelz, Alisha Edwards, Special Agent 0, Brian Myers, Mustafa Ali, and Moose.

This was a wargames style match with Hotch & Eddie starting, then the rest of the wrestlers came out in increments. Skyler bleed HEAVILY! Alisha took a wicked thumbtack bump that was unexpected. Very solid match lots of brawling outside the ring.

X-Division Champion: Leon Slater wrestled Je’Von Evans to a 20 minute draw, in a 5 minute overtime period Dark State ran in causing the match to be a no contest

This match was absolutely tremendous! I was happy with the draw, because it was that good. Then they did the 5 more minutes, and after about a minute Dark State ran in and beat both men down causing the no contest finish. This, again, pissed everyone off. They should have had Dark State run in before they restarted the match. Fans were not impressed.

Tables Elimination Match: World Tag Team Champions & NXT Tag Team Champions: The Hardys: Matt & Jeff defeated Team 3D: Bubba Ray & D-Von The Dudley Boyz

The Hardys eliminated Bubba Ray with a crucifix bomb Emotion wise this match was a 10, match quality it was a 5. Dudley's got the big entrance where they were announced as Team 3D, Bubba Ray and D-Von the Dudley Boys. Like how the Road Warriors were introduced in the WWF. Jeff was put through the table superfast, even though he was "eliminated" he never left the match. Bubba Ray seemed to just give up at the end and accept his fate that he was going to put through the table. I think they did the best they could with how beat up their bodies are. It was very emotional and to see the Dudley's final match, most likely, was very special. After the match the Dudley's took off their boots and gave them to Matt & Jeff.

Mike Santana pinned World Champion: Trick Williams to win the championship

This was a decent match, with the build the last few months there was no way Santana was not going to win the title. Fans very much wanted a new champ crowned and hated Williams. After Santana won instead of letting him celebrate they did a spot where both Frankie Kazarian and Nick Nemeth attempted to cash in their Call Your Shot contract but where thwarted.

Greenie went right up to the line for his Dudley Boys meet and greet, Mikey and I went down to the floor and just walked around, got a look at the ring close up.

We then headed to the lobby to wait, and we saw the Dudley's and Santana walk by to their sessions. The Dudley's got a round of applause and thank yous from those in the lobby. Bubba just kept his head down and didn't say anything, D-Von was very cool and thanked everyone making eye contact with people. Santana had a camera crew following him and also acknowledged everyone as he walked through.

It didn't take as long as we thought it would for Greenie to meet everyone he wanted to, watching the traffic leave the parking garage we probably would have still sitting in traffic that long anyhow.

We made a couple stops on the ride home for caffeine. We dropped Mikey at his house and then I got home about 3am. Greenie still had a drive and got home about 430am he said. It was a very long day but a fun one with lots of great wrestling!

Tessa Blanchard's Impact World Championship Reign

In this post we look Tessa Blanchard's Impact World Championship reign.

Tessa Blanchard, is a 3rd generation wrestling star, the daughter of Tully Blanchard and granddaughter of wrestler and promoter Joe Blanchard and whose step-father is Magnum TA, needless to stay she has professional wrestling in her blood.

Tessa began her wrestling career in 2013 after turning 18, training with veteran George South in Charlotte, North Carolina.  For next several years she wrestled around the world including competing in NXT in 2016 and was in the 2017 Mae Young Classic.  She also competed for Stardom in Japan in 2016 and 2017.

In 2018 she debuted with Impact Wrestling where she captured the Knockouts Championship for 147 days from August 12, 2018 to January 6, 2019.  In July 2019 she main evented Slammiversary XVII in an intergender match with Sami Callihan coming out on the losing end.

On November 19, 2019 episode of Impact she won a gauntlet match to become the number 1 contender for the Impact World Championship.  On January 12, 2020 she would defeat Impact World Champion Sami Callihan in 24 minutes to win the title at the Hard To Kill PPV in Dallas, Texas.  To date she is the only women to hold a major Men's World Championship.

After winning the championship Tessa would appear on Impact tapings in Mexico City, Las Vegas, and Georgia, however she only had one title defense before the Covid-19 Pandemic caused the wrestling world to shut down.

Her one title defense was very historic in itself.  Taking place on February 8, 2020 at Sam's Town in Las Vegas, Nevada Tess Blanchard defended the title against Taya Valkyrie.  It is the only time a men's World Championship was defended in a match featuring only women.  The match aired on AXS TV on March 3, 2020 and Blanchard retained in 11:40 with her buzzsaw DDT.

Tessa was stripped of the the Impact World Championship in June 25, 2020 officially holding the championship for 165 days. 

Tessa would only wrestle a handful of matches until May 2023 when she did a tour with Canadian Wrestling Elite. Then in October 2023 she signed with CMLL wrestling a full time schedule in Mexico until signing with TNA Wrestling in January 2025.  She seems to have her sights set on the TNA Knockouts Championship, time will tell is goes for the World Championship once again.

Signed Trading Cards: Martin Stone, Tessa Blanchard, David Starr & More

On January 18, 2018 I attended Limitless Wrestling in Westbrook, Maine.  You can read about it here.  At this show I was able to get these 13 cards signed, nine of them I brought with me the other four I bought from the wrestlers at the show.

Martin Stone

Also known as Danny Burch in NXT that is the name that the first card is under.  Released in 2013 under the Topps Europe Limited line as part of the Slam Attax Trading Card Game.  Stone himself was impressed that I had this card as he states it is quite rare with only a few being made.  I bought it on ebay from a seller in the UK.  The second card was released in 2016 as part of a set by the independent wrestling promotion Ignite Wrestling.

Tessa Blanchard

These cards from the Japanese wrestling promotion World of Stardom in their 2017 collection.

David Starr

The first card was released in 2016 by Legacy Wrestling an independent promotion based out of Pennsylvania.  The next two cards I bought from David Starr as part of a set from the SRG Trading card game.  The middle card is his player card and the card on the right is his move card "Look At It" which is when he uses his crotch to strike an opponent in the face.

Deonna Purrazzo

I bought both of these cards from Purrazzo herself, she sells them for $5 each and are available on her website here.  Of course after I met her I was finally able to buy one of her Stardom World cards.

Jeff Cobb

These two cards were made by PWG and wrestling superfan @briandabrain.  The card on the left is from the 2017 set and the card on the right from the 2016 set.

Eddie Kingston

This final card was released by the Chikara wrestling promotion sometime between 2006 and 2010.  The card is not dated.  I was actually quite fortunate to get this card signed because Kingston didn't come out to sign during the show and I just happened the catch him by Ethan Page before the show.

Limitless Wrestling 1/19/2018 "The World Is Ours" Live Report

On Friday night January the 19th Limitless Wrestling brought their brand of professional wrestling to the Westbrook Armory with "The World Is Ours" and they did not disappoint!  Alex made the drive with me and we met Mikey, Roy, Derek, Bradford, Phil, and many many more compatriots taking in eleven matches, ten on the main card and one YouTube pre-show contest.

Pre-Show

Kalvin Strange & Xavier Bell defeated Mark Sterling & Jaxon Stone

Glad to see Bell back on the card, it was odd not having him on the show in November.  My first time seeing Jaxon Stone and I hope he comes back I'd like to see more of him.  To me this match highlighted Kalvin Strange a native Mainer making his Limitless debut.  He trained with Lance Storm and I've seen him on a few IWE shows in hte past.  This was his best outing and I was surprised to see him get the submission victor on Stone for his team.  Sterling took a couple nasty bumps on his neck I hope he's okay.

Main Show

Darby Allen pinned Jeff Cobb

Second show in a row for Allen, Cobb's first in quite a while.  Cobb is a big powerhouse and Allen is so fast flying around the ring and yet their styles meshed tremendously.  Allen got the surprise, dare I say upset win with a unique pinning combination.  He stepped through like he was going to go for a sharpshooter but them fell forward tying up Cobb's legs and using his own body weight against him.  Three count came out of nowhere for a big pop and shocking finish.

Triple Threat Match: Martin Stone defeated David Starr and Fred Yehi

This was Stone's and Yehi's debuts with the returning Starr rounding out this Triple Threat Match.  In his 15th year Stone might be better known from NXT and the WWE UK Tournament as Danny Burch.  All three of these guys are fantastic mat based wrestlers that have some high flying in there repertoire.

This is the first time I have ever seen and three way Greco-Roman knuckle lock and it was tremendous.  It was unique seeing three guys applying and reverse mat based holds and submissions with such ease.  Stone submitted Yehi and per the stipulation of the match he gets to chose his opponent on March 30th.  I'm hoping Zack Sabre Jr, after their match at Beyond this is one I want to see in person.

Allie Kat, Kris Stadtlander, & Ashley Vox defeated The Maine State Posse: Danger Kid, Alexander Lee, & Aidan Aggro

Limitless keeps bringing new female talent and I hope it continues.  This match was very entertaining and gave us some great comedy and great action.  My first time seeing Allie Kat and Stadtlander and I hope it's not the last.

It really seemed to me like the Posse was holding back in this match but the ladies sure as hell weren't.  Both Allie Kat and Stadtlander connected with some sick kicks including Stadtlander's scissor kick.  Allie Kat got the pin on Danger Kid after a sick looking piledriver.

In March Limitless should bring back Allie Kat & Stadtlander to team up against Willow Nightingale & Skylar.

In Ring: Joey Eastman came out offering his services to the Posse and if they are not interested as a team then maybe just one of them would be.  After much deliberation Danger Kid accepted Eastman's offer and left the ring with him leaving Aggro and Alexander in disbelief.

Whiskey Dick: "Top Shelf" Troy Nelson & Dick Justice defeated Brett Domino & DL Hurst

I'm not a Dick Justice fan, I am a Troy Nelson fan.  Brett Domino is an asshole and I love it.  His facial expressions and over the top behavior is excellent, I look forward to seeing more.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman submitted Matt Cross

Another impressive showing by MJF who is my favorite heel on the independents.  For me I wasn't very impressed with Matt Cross vs. Petey Williams last November in Portland.  Tonight I got to see the Matt Cross that I was expecting last time.  MJF got the surprise submission victory after Cross missed a 450 splash.

In Ring: Stokely Hathaway came out inviting MJF to join the Dream Team.  MJF seemingly accepted but then Darby Allen came out and attempted a dive from the top rope onto MJF who pushed Hathaway into the oncoming Allen saving himself.  Not sure if Hathaway rescinded his offer or not.

Tessa Blanchard pinned Deonna Purrazzo

A truly fantastic match!  We got a little bit of everything, mat wrestling, submissions, high flying, and I finally got to see Tessa win a match in person!  Talking with her before the show she said she was done with Stardom for now, she felt she had gone as far as they were going to push her.  She'd love to go back to Japan but she was plenty busy at the moment.  I hope she finds time to comeback to Limitless and this time not take a year to do so.

"Dirty Daddy" Chris Dickinson pinned Eddie Kingston

I was not disappointed with this match, but it was not the match I was expecting.  The promo that Dickinson cut in November was so scathing that I figured these guys would jump start the bell and just start throwing hands.  Instead it was a feeling out process that eventually lead to some stiff back and forth blows.  Eventually Dickinson landed the pazuzu bomb for the three count.

"All Ego" Ethan Page and The Thick Boys: Jay Freddie & John Silver defeated The Dream Team: Mr. Grimm, Christian Casanova, & Austin Theory with Stokley Hathaway

A good match but the big story coming out of this was near the end of the match the bottom rope broke.  They finish came when the Thick Boys nailed their finish on Casanova for the double pin.  I will continue to point out that this is an illegal pin and the referee should not count the fall.

Massage NV: Dorian Graves & VSK defeated The Work Horsemen: "New Age Enforcer" James Drake & Anthony Henry

This was my favorite match of the night!  We got some fantastic tag team wrestling from two teams and not guys thrown together.  Limitless had brought Henry and Drake in before but this was the first time as a tag team.

Even with the bottom rope missing these two teams delivered.  Sincerely you need to watch this match when you have the chance.  Limitless Wrestling needs more of the Work Horsemen.

Fatal Four Way: Anthony Greene defeated Ace Romero, JT Dunn, & Josh Briggs

The match that was billed to discover the Ace of Limitless Wrestling.  This match was exactly what you would expect from these four.  It quickly spilled to the floor with all four working their way to the back of the venue where Dunn jumped off the top of the lockers onto the other three.

The four then battled back towards the ring past the merchandise tables where among all the chaos Jeff Cobb calmly sat eating his dinner unfazed by everything going on around him.  It was hilarious.  Greene eventually made his may back to the ring throwing eight steel chairs in a pile in the center.  His intention was to splash a prone JT Dunn from the top rope, however Dunn superplexed them both onto the debris it was pretty sick!

The finish came when everyone hit there finishers and Greene rolled up Dunn for the three count with a handful of trunks to win the match officially becoming the Ace of Limitless Wrestling.  However this was over shadowed by what came next.

In Ring: Teddy Hart made his surprise return to the pop of the night.  He cut a promo on Briggs, Romero, & Dunn challenging them to a six man tag team match on March 30th with his partners AR Fox and Sami Callihan!

There was some changes to the show tonight that I really liked a lot.  The doors opened on time, the pre-show and main show started as advertised.  The quickly started the next match after the previous one finished.  Intermission did not run excessively long and in the end the show finished up at just about 11pm.

I applaud the final two matches where the wrestlers didn't seem to let the fact there was no bottom rope stop them from doing their best in the ring.  The only thing missing from the show was the staple six way scramble match.

Limitless returns March 30th and when tickets go on sale February 5th I can't throw my money at them fast enough!  Already advertised:
