I went to three wrestling shows in 3 different States in 6 days earlier this month. Sunday July 12th in Manchester, New Hampshire to watch GCW Melee in Manchester. Thursday July 16th in Boston, Massachusetts for AEW Collision at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. Lastly, Friday July 17th in Westbrook, Maine at the Armory for Limitless Wrestling Crunch Time.
There where two constants at all 3 shows, my buddy Mikey went to all three shows with me and we saw Bustah & The Brain: Alec Price & Jordan Oliver wrestle on all three of them.
Sunday the 12th we made a day of it going to Nashua, NH first for MonstahXpo where I met Tiffany Sheppis, a B Movie Scream Queen that I've been a fan of for 25 years who was amazing. She actually was originally cast for David McLane's Women of Wrestling during their first season in 2000.
She was to play Madison, a million dollar man type character, but she left before the initial show for her own reasons. She told me why, but I will let her share that. She also told me an interesting story about the time she met "Mouth of the South" Jimmy Hart.
We then went to a baseball game, Manchester Fisher Cats vs. Portland Sea Dogs which the Dogs lost back 10 - 3. I had never been to that stadium before, it's a nice ballfield.
We then made our way to the Bishop Leo O'Neill Youth Center. There is no air conditioning in the venue so it was 105 degrees in there! The show was great, a nice surprise to hear Rich Palladino ring announce a few of the matches, Bustah & The Brain vs. Star Struck II was, once again, tremendous, and Atticus Cogar grabbing Dijak's very young daughter by the hair and threatening to skewer her was WILD!
That Thursday July 16th I went to my second AEW show of the year, 11th AEW show overall, and it was an AEW Collision taping at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway. I LOVE watching AEW shows at these unique non-arena venues. It's such a fun and different look on TV and especially in person.
We got 1 preshow ROH match, then Collision was taped and then they taped several more ROH matches for a Beantown Beatdown ROH YouTube special. It was a decent show, I mean we had fun, but it wasn't the best AEW show that I've been to.
The final match of the night was an 8 man tag that saw Bustah & The Brain: Alec Price & Jordan Oliver and ROH Six-Man Tag Team Champions: The Outrunners: Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd defeated The Premier Athletes: Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari with Mark Sterling and The Swirl: Blake Christian & Lee Johnson when Jordan Oliver pinned Daivari.
Friday was my third and final wrestling show of the week, Limitless Wrestling Crunch Time at the Westbrook Armory. Main event was a six man tag that saw The Limit: Limitless World Champion: Donovan Dijak, Anthony Greene, & Channing Thomas with Sidney Bakabella defeat Bustah & The Brain: Alec Price & Jordan Oliver and Leedz Lewis when Dijak pinned Lewis
This was a tremendous show overall, and yes I'm biased because Limitless is my home.
Lewis Leedz is awesome and has a remarkable future. I saw him wrestle Joey Janela at GCW in Manchester and that was excellent, and then in the six man at Limitless he was right there step for step with everyone else in the match.
It was an awesome week, but a long one with several late nights. After Saturday night at home, Sunday night a bunch of us went to the "Weird Al" Yankovic concert in Bangor. I don't normally have this much crammed so close to each other. It was a blast, tiring, but a blast!
