My First TNA PPV - Bound For Glory 2025

On October 12, 2025 I attended my TNA Wrestling's Bound For Glory PPV on the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.  This was my first ever TNA PPV, my first TNA live event since December 4, 2009, my 17th wrestling show of the year, and my 2nd wrestling show of the day.

Back at the beginning of the year we had heard rumors that TNA might run a PPV in New England in 2025.  Their last event in New England had been in a TNA One Night Only Hardcore Justice PPV in December 2013 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.  So they were do to run a show up this way.

Then in July they ran two days of TV tapings in Rhode Island, and I figured, that was what we would get.  However shortly after those tapings, their biggest show of the year Bound For Glory, was announced to be held at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, and I knew I couldn't miss it. 

Mikey, Eric Greenleaf and I picked up tickets during the presale and secured out seats this event historic event!  Mikey had gone to the Rhode Island TV taping and this was Greenie's first TNA show.

Not long after TNA announced Bound For Glory, Beyond Wrestling announced a show to be held earlier in the day in Lowell called Bound For the Floor, a single day 8 man tournament of mat based wrestling.  So of course we had to go to that and have a double shot day.

Greenie met me at my house early in the morning, just after 8am.  We headed to Auburn to pick up Mikey and continue the journey south.  We stopped at The Brook casino so Mikey could use his free play, that didn't take long at all.  At the store up the road I found the Diet Coke Lime, it was solid but it needs more Lime.

We got to the venue Taffeta Music Hall, about a half hour before doors were to open.   We got let in just as it started to rain.  Sadly attendance wasn't the best, but that didn't dampen my spirits as we got some fantastic wrestling matches!

I was shocked that we got Timothy Thatcher vs. Drew Gulak as the first match of the first round.  I thought for sure they would be in the semi finals or even the finals.  

After the show we beat feet over to the Tsongas Center, it was only a short drive away and we got parked a few minutes before doors opened.  TNA does pre and post show meet and greets with their wrestlers, which is pretty cool.  Mikey and Eric both bought pre-show meet and greets while only Eric bought post-show meet and greets.  As I did neither when we got into the venue they headed off to do that while I got in the merchandise line.  I bought a TNA Bound For Glory Pin for my pin board at work. 

I walked around the venue and eventually met up with Calvin and we got some food.  The entrance was minimal with only a small set up when they wrestlers were coming out, the aisle was long too with a bend in it.  I very much appreciate the minimalist set up, it harkened back to old school PPV's of the 80's and 90's where the focus was on the in ring wrestling.  Also, to me it meant they sold so many tickets they needed the room for the fans to sit.  Turns out that was probably true as they announced an attendance of 7,794 a new North American record for the company. 

 

Their all time attendance recorded was in January 2009 a house show at Wembley arena in London with 8,100 fans, this also ended up being Hulk Hogan's last match.  Previous North American records was Slammiversary 2025 7,623 fans and Lockdown 2013 with 7,200.  TNA has been on a upward climb for months and I hope it continues for them. 

We all made it to our seats in time for the 6pm count down show, which also served as the TNA Hall of Fame induction ceremonies for The Beautiful People: Angelina Love & Velvet Sky and Mickie James.  That took about 45 minutes, and then we got the only pre-show match for the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championships as The Iinspiration defeated the Elegance Brand.

Maggie Lee goes by M by Elegance in TNA and I ama huge fan of hers.  I've seen her wrestle at Limitless numerous times and got to see her accompany Ash by Elegance to the ring at NXT Heatwave.  It was very cool to see her wrestler her first TNA PPV match.  

We had a great view of the ring from out seats, unless everyone was standing up of course, but we couldn't see the entrance area very well, but that was cool.  Here are the full show results:

Steve Maclin pinned International Champion: Frankie Kazarian to win the title

Solid match, Maclin was very over with the crowd. Match was a bit short, but it flowed well.

Tessa Blanchard with Victoria Crawford pinned Gia Miller with Jody Threat after hitting her with a roll of quarters.

I'm a Tessa fan, glad to see her back in TNA, seems like she has been working in CMLL more as of late. This was a good storyline with Tessa attaching Gia a few months back leading to her suspension, she got breast implants, she posted a video about it. This was billed as Gia's first TNA match, it was not. Back in 2021 & 2022 she wrestled two matches under the name Rusty Iron.

For only having a couple dozen matches under her belt I thought Gia looked very good, and gave it her all. Tessa looked great and I enjoyed the old school finish of a roll of quarters to the head for the pin.

Call Your Shot Gauntlet: Frankie Kazarian & Nic Nemeth co-won the match with a double pin

This was the only time not seeing the entrance was a bit of a bummer because you couldn't see who was coming out until they were in the ring. The wrestlers were leaving to the back walking or fighting in front of us, that was cool. Crowd was good with the double pin, until they announced two winners instead of continuing the match, then they booed Santino out of the building.

I head to the bathroom and grabbed snack with this match, watched half of it from the top of the building. I need to watch it on the DVD when it comes out. I was surprised the Kelani won.

Hardcore War: The System: Alisha Edwards, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, JDC & Moose defeated Order 4: Tasha Steelz, Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, John Skyler & Special Agent 0

Order of Entry: Jason Hotch & Eddie Edwards, John Skyler, JDC, Tasha Steelz, Alisha Edwards, Special Agent 0, Brian Myers, Mustafa Ali, and Moose.

This was a wargames style match with Hotch & Eddie starting, then the rest of the wrestlers came out in increments. Skyler bleed HEAVILY! Alisha took a wicked thumbtack bump that was unexpected. Very solid match lots of brawling outside the ring.

X-Division Champion: Leon Slater wrestled Je’Von Evans to a 20 minute draw, in a 5 minute overtime period Dark State ran in causing the match to be a no contest

This match was absolutely tremendous! I was happy with the draw, because it was that good. Then they did the 5 more minutes, and after about a minute Dark State ran in and beat both men down causing the no contest finish. This, again, pissed everyone off. They should have had Dark State run in before they restarted the match. Fans were not impressed.

Tables Elimination Match: World Tag Team Champions & NXT Tag Team Champions: The Hardys: Matt & Jeff defeated Team 3D: Bubba Ray & D-Von The Dudley Boyz

The Hardys eliminated Bubba Ray with a crucifix bomb Emotion wise this match was a 10, match quality it was a 5. Dudley's got the big entrance where they were announced as Team 3D, Bubba Ray and D-Von the Dudley Boys. Like how the Road Warriors were introduced in the WWF. Jeff was put through the table superfast, even though he was "eliminated" he never left the match. Bubba Ray seemed to just give up at the end and accept his fate that he was going to put through the table. I think they did the best they could with how beat up their bodies are. It was very emotional and to see the Dudley's final match, most likely, was very special. After the match the Dudley's took off their boots and gave them to Matt & Jeff.

Mike Santana pinned World Champion: Trick Williams to win the championship

This was a decent match, with the build the last few months there was no way Santana was not going to win the title. Fans very much wanted a new champ crowned and hated Williams. After Santana won instead of letting him celebrate they did a spot where both Frankie Kazarian and Nick Nemeth attempted to cash in their Call Your Shot contract but where thwarted.

Santana celebrated in the ring with his daughter after the match.

Greenie went right up to the line for his Dudley Boys meet and greet, Mikey and I went down to the floor and just walked around, got a look at the ring close up.

We then headed to the lobby to wait, and we saw the Dudley's and Santana walk by to their sessions. The Dudley's got a round of applause and thank yous from those in the lobby. Bubba just kept his head down and didn't say anything, D-Von was very cool and thanked everyone making eye contact with people. Santana had a camera crew following him and also acknowledged everyone as he walked through.

It didn't take as long as we thought it would for Greenie to meet everyone he wanted to, watching the traffic leave the parking garage we probably would have still sitting in traffic that long anyhow.

We made a couple stops on the ride home for caffeine. We dropped Mikey at his house and then I got home about 3am. Greenie still had a drive and got home about 430am he said. It was a very long day but a fun one with lots of great wrestling!

WWE Live Report 8/12/2017 Augusta, Maine

When the WWE comes to town about 10 miles from your home and you're a lifelong wrestling fan, you go! A few weeks out I went to the Augusta Civic Center box office to pick up a couple of $25 tickets to avoid the ticketmaster fees.  We were in section 24 right in the front row on the aisle and they were fantastic seats.

This is Canaan's fifth WWE event and my 36th.  Rating overall definitely not the best show I've ever been to for the company, but it was a fun above average show.  The civic center was close to full, I'd wager about 4,000 fans, and they were into it which always makes it better.

One of the things that I liked the most about the house shows when I was younger was that the set up was simply, ring in the center of the venue, spotlights and the house public address system.  No lighting set up, no entrance set, just bare bones like the footage I used to watch on Coliseum Home Video or Prime Time Wrestling.

In 2012 when they started adding the set with mini titantron, lighting rigs, and sound system it was when they jacked the ticket prices up from $55 to $95 on the first few rows.  I was super annoyed because it priced me out of trying to buy front row for my son and I. Last night was the first I night I truly enjoyed those additions.

Ring announcer Tom Rome was the host for the evening and from when we got through the doors just past 6:30pm until the show started at 7:30pm they played various clips on the tron from top 10 lists to retro wrestling moments.  Also Rome did various live spots from around the building about that nights show and the upcoming SummerSlam.  It really helped pass the time until the show started, which was promptly at 7:30pm.

The Hardy Boys: Matt & Jeff and Finn Balor defeated The Club: Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows and Elias Sampson

Big pop for this opening trio, all guys my son wanted to see the most at once.  Hardy's got some delete chants in showing that even the fans in Maine know what up with the Broken.  Samson sat on a stool at the top of the entrance ramp singing a song.  At one point when he was booed loudly he told the crowd to quiet down or he'd have to start over.

Decent match, all the guys worked hard, probably my favorite match of the night.  The good guys for the win when Balor hit the coup de gras on Anderson for the three count.

Goldust pinned R-Truth

I was excited to see Goldust, probably the only one.  I've always been a fan of Dustin/Goldust because he's really good in the ring and historically he's put on some pretty fantastic matches on house shows.  This one lasted two minutes when he pinned Truth with his feet on the ropes.
 

Interesting note, the first ever WWE show I went to at the Augusta Civic Center in March 1996 and Goldust was on the card.

Cruiserweight Champion: Neville submitted Tozawa

This was a good match, I was hoping we'd get a title change.  I really want to witness a house show title change.  Someday it will happen!  The finish came when Tozawa missed his senton and Neville locked on his submission finisher for the win.

Big Cass beat up Enzo Amore

This was not a match, there was no referee in the ring.  Enzo came out and did his typical microphone work, called out Big Cass.  Cass came out and after a minute layed out Enzo.  That was it, both guys went to the back after.

Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose defeated Curtis Axle & Bo Dallas

For some reason the order of introductions was Seth Rollins, Axle & Dallas, and then Ambrose.  I'm pretty sure that they were trying to telegraph the alleged tension between Rollins and Ambrose if they are going to actually team together at SummerSlam.  They didn't relay that message well.

Rollins, Axle, and Dallas all looked great, Ambrose was is typical lazy self going through the motions.  His neckbreaker consists of facing a guy grabbing a him by the head and and rotating them both around and they both fall flat on their backs and during the fall Ambrose lets go of the guy.  Somehow, even though they both do the same thing taking the same back bump it only hurts the other guy and Ambrose jumps up.

John Cena pinned Rusev

This SmackDown feature match was the last prior to intermission.  That is also a decent match, better than I expected it to be.  Cena was over big time I can only recall a small smattering of Cena Sucks chants.  This match featured a ref bump and then a low blow by Rusev.  He then tried to hit Cena with the belt but Cena nailed and AA for the pin.

Sasha Banks, Dana Brooke & Mickie James defeated Nia Jax, Emma, & Raw Women's Champion: Alexa Bliss

Mickie James substituted for the injured Bayley.  Sasha Banks got the biggest reaction.  I'm a fan of almost all these ladies and this is the first time I've seen four of them.  Once a again a decent match with everyone putting in a great effort.  It's the best of seen Dana Brooke in the ring to date.

The finish came when Sasha showed us all just how flexible Emma was submitting her to the Bank Statement.

Tag Team Champions: Cesaro & Sheamus defeated Titus O'Neil & Apollo Crews

This was a title match that I had no belief that title would change hands.  I like the team of Sheamus and Cesaro, they've become and actual team, wearing similar outfits to the ring, creating signature entrance and even tandem moves.  They just need a name.

Sheamus brogue kicked Apollo Crews into unconsciousness for the three count.

Roman Reigns defeated Braun Strowman

Somehow Strowman is bigger in person than on TV.  I mean he really is a mountain of a man.  I know I sounds like a broken record but, this match was better than I thought it would be.  I was actually kind of impressed with Reigns tonight and Strowman has consistently surprised me with just how good he is in the ring for a man of his size.

Braun was disqualified when he took the ring steps and struck Reigns.  Post match he continued the beat down of Reigns hitting him with the stairs and tossing him into the ring post before putting him back in the ring.  Braun then slide a table into the ring setting it up in the corner.  Of course, Reigns eventually made a comeback and speared Braun through the table much to the delight of the crowd.

Like I said the fans were really into the match, the booed the bad guys and cheered the good guys just like there were supposed to.  Cena got nothing but love and even Reigns was heavily cheered.  Again definitely not the best house show I've ever been took but it was better than average.  Our seats were great and I will buy those in the future.

I took all the pictures with my phone, the lighting is never good for pictures at wrestling but these are some of the better shots.

Roy's Review SummerSlam 2000

Here is my review of WWF Summerslam 2000.

Match 1: Right to Censor: Steven Richards, Bull Buchanan & The Goodfather defeated Rikishi & Too Cool: Grandmaster Sexay & Scotty 2 Hotty w/ The Godfather's Hos: Victoria and Mandy

This was a short, really average match, but it served its purpose by getting the crowd going, since Too Cool was super over for some reason and everyone hated RTC. I personally can't stand Too Cool. That gimmick is terrible. The Hos got involved in the match when Richards tried to tuck tail and run. The end came when Scotty was going for The Worm and Richards wrecked him with a superkick for the win.

Backstage Interview: Michael Cole w/Shane McMahon. Cole asks Shane about his thoughts on Kurt Angle kissing Stephanie 3 days earlier on Smackdown. Shane says he supports whatever decision she makes. He then sees Steve Blackman, who he has to defend the Hardcore Title against, and runs scared.

Match 2: X-Pac defeated Road Dogg

This match kinda sucked. It was only about 4:30 and nothing really happened except for the finish. X-Pac hit a low blow then an X-Factor for the win. After the match X-Pac wanted a handshake but Road Dogg kicked him in the gut instead and gave him a pumphandle slam.

Backstage: Eddie Guerrero tells Chyna it doesn't matter which one of them wins the Intercontinental Title.

Backstage: Trish Stratus is worried about who is better looking, her or Chyna. Val Venis gets pissed because he has to defend the Intercontinental Title in a Tag Team Match and his partner is Trish.

Match 3: Chyna & Eddie Guerrero defeated Intercontinental Champion: Val Venis & Trish Stratus with Chyna pinning Trish to win the Intercontinental Championship

The rules are if Chyna or Eddie get the pin on either Val or Trish, they win the IC Title. Val wrestled almost the entire match by himself. He tagged Trish in late in the match when Eddie was down and Val needed a breather. Eddie quickly gained the advantage, tagged in Chyna who wrecked Trish for the win and the Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship.

Backstage: Stephanie McMahon is backstage with a female backstage worker named Janet. Janet talks about Stephanie kissing Kurt Angle. Janet says all the ladies in the lockerroom are wondering if Kurt is a hunk. Stephanie says he is a good kisser.

Match 4: Jerry Lawler defeated Tazz

Lawler was defending his buddy Jim Ross in this one. This match sucked. All Tazz did was yell at Jim Ross while Lawler did only punches. The end came when the referee was knocked down and Tazz locked in a Tazzmission. JR then got up and smashed a candy jar over Tazz's head allowing Lawler to get the win.

Backstage Interview: Lillian Garcia w/Shane McMahon. Lillian tries to get Shane's thoughts on Kurt Angle kissing Stephanie but he is more worried about his Hardcore Title defense. Steve Blackman then appears and Shane runs again.

Match 5: Steve Blackman defeats Hardcore Champion: Shane McMahon to win the title

This match was really average. Shane ran scared around ringside and even into the crowd. Once Blackman got a hold of him, he beat the piss out of him until Test and Albert came out to help Shane. They all battled up the entryway. Blackman finally got the advantage back and chased Shane up the Titantron scaffolding.

Blackman kept hitting Shane with a kendo stick he carried up with him and it knocked Shane off and he fell about 50 feet onto a large wooden box of some kind. Blackman then climbed down about halfway and jumped off onto Shane for the win. The finish helped out this match a lot.

Backstage: Stephanie is super worried about Shane. Kurt Angle comes in and says that Shane just had the wind knocked out of him. Kurt then hugs Stephanie when Mick Foley walks in. Mick says that Shane landed on his kisser.

Match 6: Chris Benoit defeated Chris Jericho in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match

This was a pretty good match as these two have always had. The first fall they beat the hell out of each other, starting before the bell even rang. The end of the fall came when Benoit locked in the Crippler Crossface. In the 2nd fall Benoit worked Jericho's shoulder until Jericho reversed a German Suplex into The Walls of Jericho to pick up the 2nd fall. For some reason they played Jericho's music here. The 3rd fall was very back and forth with both guys getting many near falls. Benoit got the 3rd and final fall when he reversed a schoolboy into another pin and held the ropes for the win.

Match 7: Tag Team Champions: Edge & Christian defeated The Hardy Boyz: Matt & Jeff and The Dudley Boyz: Bubba Ray & D-Von in a TLC Match to retain

Unbelievable. Truly innovative. This must be seen. These guys killed each other.

Backstage: Triple H is pissed about Stephanie kissing Kurt Angle and Stephanie backpedals, defending herself. Triple H tells Stephanie to say away from Kurt Angle.

Match 8: The Kat w/Al Snow defeated Terri w/Saturn in a Thong Stinkface Match

The winner would be the first to execute a Stinkface. This was terrible. The end came when The Kat kicked Terri and she headbutted the referee in the nuts. Then Al Snow threw in Head. The Kat smashed Terri with it, then dragged her in the corner for a Stinkface and the win.

Match 9: Undertaker fought Kane to a No Contest

These guys beat the piss out of each other right from the get go. They battled all over ringside using chairs and the ring steps. Undertaker kept trying to take Kane's mask off and the end came when he finally got it off and Kane hightailed it covering his face.

Backstage: Kurt Angle calls someone on the phone.

Backstage: Stephanie is with Triple H while he is preparing for his match when the phone rings. Stephanie pretends that its her mother. Triple H takes the phone but nobody was there.

In Ring: Kurt Angle said that a lot of people are expecting an apology for kissing Stephanie. He said that he will apologize for not doing it sooner. Triple H comes out and beats the hell out of Angle. He went for a Pedigree on the announce table but it broke prematurely and Angle wailed his head on it. Triple H got a sledgehammer out from under the ring. As he went to use it The Rock came out to start the main event.

Match 10: WWF Champion The Rock defeated Kurt Angle and Triple H w/Stephanie McMahon in a Triple Threat Match to retain

This was a great main event with lots of great action as well as a great storyline. Triple H and The Rock started this one off hot. While they were battling, EMTs came out and tried stretcher Angle to the back but Triple H stopped them and attacked Angle. The Rock and Triple H battled back to the ring while Stephanie came out to check on Angle as the EMTs stretchered him to the back. Stephanie came back out. Triple H told her to get the belt but when she went to hit The Rock, he moved and she hit Triple H. The Rock went to attack Stephanie but she got away and went to the back. The Rock and Triple H battled for awhile, when they cut to the back with Stephanie pleading with Angle to go out and help Triple H. Angle said yes.

Angle came out with Stephanie and tripped The Rock allowing Triple H to hit a Pedigree but Angle pulled out Triple H at the count of 2 and smashed him into the ring steps. Angle then went for the pin but only got 2. Triple H then called for Stephanie to get him the sledgehammer. She threw it in but Angle got it. Stephanie then went to stop Angle from hitting Triple H but she got accidentally punched in the head by Triple H. Angle then knock out Triple H with the hammer. He went for the pin but The Rock broke it up and threw him to the outside. The Rock then hit The People's Elbow for the win.

In Ring: As The Rock was celebrating on the entryway, Angle carried a lifeless Stephanie to the back.

Overall this show scored a 59 out of 100 for an overall score of 59.0%. This was a good fun show. The undercard wasn't very good but the crowd was way into it which helped a lot. The main attractions were great though. Jericho vs. Benoit was good as was the Undertaker/Kane brawl. Where this show really stood out was the Triple Threat match and the TLC Match. Those two especially the TLC Match make this one of the better SummerSlams.
