Roy's Review: Limitless Wrestling: Risk it for the Biscuit 10/7/2016

Here are the the results from Risk it for the Bisquit in Westbrook last night:

Match 1: Anthony Greene defeated Tyler Nitro w/Mike Campbell. Good solid match and good choice to open up the show. Greene is super over and for good reason. Nitro is becoming a good addition to the roster.
7/10

Match 2: Scott Slade defeated Flex Rumblecrunch and Mikey Webb in a Triple Threat Match. Solid match but nothing really special. This was kinda what you would expect from these guys. Webb played a good heel. He would make a great addition to the roster.
6.75/10

Match 3: Xavier Bell defeated Danny Miles.  Bell has enough charisma for the 2 of them. They beat the hell out of each other in this one. Bell was supposed to get the win with a sitout powerbomb but Barry botched the count. They did a few more spots and Bell won after a piledriver.
7.75/10

Match 4: JT Dunn and Mike Graca defeated The Maine State Posse (Danger Kid and Aidan Aggro). Good tag match. MSP really stepped it up in this one and showed they can hang with some of the best in New England. I was surprised how well Dunn and Graca worked together since I've never heard of them teaming before. MSP has taken over the roll as top tag team in Limitless Wrestling.
8/10

Match 5: Nick McKenna defeated Geno Bauer, Owen Brody and Adam Booker in a Fatal 4 Way. Solid match but nothing really special. McKenna was super over. Aside from a few dives to the outside, not really much to talk about.
5/10

Match 6: Ace Romero defeated Anthony Gangone. This was the best performance I've seen from Gangone. He beat up Ace for most of the match and busted open Ace's nose. Lots of good solid action in this one.
7.5/10

Match 7: Tommy Mack defeated Sully Banger. This was basically a squash with Banger getting the shit kicked out of him.
3.75/10

Match 8: The Tenacious Two (Johnny Torres and Scott Wild) defeated Jeremy Leary and Skylar. Awesome match. This was way better than expected. Skylar took a massive beating like a champ. Wild beat the ever loving piss out of her. The crowd was super into this one. Check this out.
8.75/10

Match 9: Brian Fury defeated Donovan Dijak. Good match but not nearly as good as their first match at Americanrana 2015. Its to bad the match before this killed the crowd because this match deserved way more from the crowd than it got. It started kinda slow but they were beating the shit out of each other after about 5 minutes. Just a really good solid match.
8/10

A good show and a great turnout for only having promoted it for 10 days. Matches 7 and 8 should have been swapped. That would have avoided the crowd being killed for the main event.

Roy's Review: Beyond Wrestling New England Mania/Midas Touch 10/2/2016

Here are the results from Beyond Wrestling this past Sunday in Somerville, MA:

New England Mania

Match 1: The American Destroyers (Donovan Dijak and Mikey Webb) defeated Team Lovelee (Kimber Lee and Heidi Lovelace). A solid match, better than I expected. The women took a wicked beating, especially when Dijak was in. Some goods spots in this one. Not necessarily my choice to open up the day but a decent match none the less.
7/10

Match 2: Brian Fury defeated Dave Cole.  It was really short maybe 5 minutes long. Cole looked the best I have seen him but I still don't like him.
4/10

Match 3: The Crusade for Change (Darius Carter, TJ Marconi, Anthony Gangone, Devin Blaze and Tommy Trainwreck) defeated Biff's Kids (Ace Romero, Xavier Bell, Sully Banger, Chuck O'Neil and Flip Gordon). Before the match O'Neil dogged everyone on his team. This a decent match but nothing really spectacular. About 5 minutes in O'Neil bailed on his team turning it into a 5 on 4 handicap match. Biff's Kids fought hard but couldn't overcome the odds. With this win The Crusade for Change improved to 10-0 in Beyond Wrestling.
6/10

Match 4: Jordynn Grace defeated Alexxis. Nothing really special here. It wasn't a horrible match but it wasn't really great either. Grace used her strength advantage like always. After the match Taeler Hendrix came out and attacked Grace along with Anthony Stone and Davey Cash. Apparently they are all a stable because they are from New Bedford. Hendrix attacked Grace's leg with a bat.
5/10

Match 5: Keith Lee defeated Brian Milonas. This was way better than I expected. Milonas is really good for a 400+ pound guy. There were a few botched spots just because of how massive both guys are, but overall a really solid big guy match.
7.5/10

Midas Touch

Match 1: Tracy Williams defeated Chris Dickinson by Reverse Decision. These two beat the hell out of each other. A good hard hitting battle. Dickinson originally got the win with a Rings of Saturn but he wouldn't let go so the referee reversed the decision.
7.5/10

Match 2: Team Pazuzu (Pinkie Sanchez, Angel Ortiz and Mike Draztik) defeated Massage NV (NSK and Dorian Graves) and Joey Ryan. This was the comedy match that you would expect. If your into that kind of match it was great but I'm not really into that sort of thing anymore.
5.5/10

Match 3: Matthew Riddle defeated Jaka. These two beat the hell out of each other in a good match. Lots of suplexes. Just a really good hard hitting match. Riddle got the win when Jaka passed out in a submission hold.
7.75/10

Match 4: Tessa Blanchard defeated Ricochet. This was a good match but it was kinda weird. They were playing it up as boyfriend vs. girlfriend which I didn't really care for.  Despite this it was a solid really hard hitting match.
7/10

Match 5: Deonna Purrazzo defeated Sonya Strong. Good match here. Strong continues to improve. There were a few botches but nothing really terrible. After the match Strong refused to shake hands with Purrazzo. Kimber Lee then comes out and tells her that she stuck up for her and she needs to show some respect. Strong the turns heel and slaps Lee in the face. Then flips them both off.
7/10

Match 6: Joey Janela w/Penelope Ford defeated Jonathan Gresham. This match was good but it seemed a little off at times because they are so opposite when it comes to styles. Despite this a good solid match.
7/10

Match 7: War Machine (Warbeard Hanson and Raymond Rowe) defeated Da Hit Squad (Monsta Mack and Dan Maff). Great hard hitting match. These guys were really trying to destroy each other. Check this one out. When the battle spilled to the floor a guy in the VIP section jumped up and started screaming "FIGHT! FUCKING FIGHT!" It was funny as hell. Hopefully they will do a rematch and have it be no DQ or something like that.
8.28/10

Match 8: Jon Silver defeated Michael Elgin. Great match. Must be seen. These guys tore the house down. Tons of power moves. Check this one out.
9.5/10

Overall a good day of wrestling and a great way to cap off and excellent weekend of wrestling. Especially since Mikey got free tickets.

Signed Cards: Dalton Castle, Terry Funk, & The Goon

This post features four cards, one in person and the other through the mail success, so let's get to it!

Dalton Castle
This card is from a custom fan made set featuring the 24 competitors of the 2016 PWG Battle of Los Angeles. I got this card signed in person at the Ring of Honor All Star Extravaganza VIII pay-per-view at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

Terry Funk
I got these cards signed in the mail direct from the Double Cross Ranch.  Mr. Funk was gracious enough to sign them both for me.

The card on the left from the 1985 O-Pee-Chee set and on the right 1996 Baseball Magazine set from Japan.

The Goon
I got this card signed in the mail direct from "Wild" Bill Irwin with a request for $5.  This wasn't a trading card but a card from a WWF Trivia game.  It is the only trading style card that I can find of Bill Irwin or any of his gimmicks.
