Signed Cards: James Drake, Manders, and Brian Milonas

This batch of cards were signed in person at local wrestling events here in Maine.

James Drake
Call him the blue collar bad ass or the new age enforcer either way James Drake is excellent in the ring and I'm glad that Limitless Wrestling brings him in a few times a year.  This card is from the Limitless Wrestling Series 1 card set and I got it signed at Limitless Wrestling Twilight Zone

1 Called Manders
I bought the card from Manders and got it signed at Limitless Wrestling Twilight Zone.  This was first time seeing Manders live and he's a cross between Dr. Death and Stan Hansen and I hope he comes back.

Brian Milonas

My buddy Roy picked these up for me at the IWE Anniversary show on January 4th in Brewer, Maine.  The cards were made by Todd Graham of Proving Ground Brand where you to can get your own custom trading cards made.  Following the link above of catch him on Facebook.  Milonas was selling a 9 card set for $10.

Limitless Wrestling: Twilight Zone Live Report 11/29/2019

Black Friday, November 29th Limitless Wrestling returned to Yarmouth, Maine for their first ever live streaming show on IWTV with Twilight Zone!!

It was a great night a wrestling and a fantastic end of the year for Limitless Wrestling.  The live stream had a couple hiccups through out the night and dropped once but I for the most post there is a lot of positive talk on Twitter about the show.

Independent Wrestling TV Champion: Warhorse vs. John Silver

Decent opening match, this was Warhorses 15th title defense and I like the fact that they made a point the announce that.  It gives importance to the championship and proves he a fighting champion.  Good back and forth match, there was a split crowd with Silver being a Limitless regular.  Warhorse retained his title with a double foot stomp.

Christian Casanova vs. Myron Reed

Nova continued his winning ways proving he belongs in the title picture.  Reed looked good tonight, a little off at times. I'd like to see him back in Limitless.  Reed hit went for a very impressive 450 splash, but Casanova got the knees up and rolled him up for the small package pin.

James Drake vs. "The Prize" Alec Price

This was supposed to be Drake vs. Dan Maff, but he couldn't attend because of a death in the family.  The surprise opponent was Alec Price.  Boy oh boy did the Prize shine bright tonight!  I have to give Randy a lot of credit for putting Prize in the match, it was the right choice. 

This was a fantastic match, lots of hard hitting action, very fast paced at times, and the big man James Drake nailed a moonsault for the pin.  If last months pre-show got is foot in the door, tonight's performance should guarantee Price a permanent roster spot.

Masha Slamovich vs. Jody Threat

This was tough for me as I'm a fan of both of the ladies.  I've seen Masha in singles action with Let's Wrestle, but this match was their singles debut in Limitless.  I really enjoyed this match, lots of hard hitting, a bunch of suplexs from both ladies and in the end the Russian Dynamite needed to put her feet on the ropes for leverage to hold Threat down for the three count.  I hope to see them both back in Limitless.  

Take Me Home Tonight: Limitless Wrestling World Champion: "Retro" Anthony Greene & Ace Romero vs. Maine State Posse: Danger Kid & Aiden Aggro

Yup.  This was as awesome as I expected it to be!  Just go to IWTV, sign up for the 20 free trial using the code Limitless and watch this match.  You won't regret it.  Action was inside and outside the ring, lots of back and forth action.  No one team had the upper hand for any extended period of time.  Ace pinned Danger Kid with a package piledriver.

Post match got on the mic, put over MSP and then challenged AG to a title match in January.  Casanova came to the ring, said he deserved a title shot.  AG accepted both of their challenges for a triple threat match on January 24th.

Scramble Match: CJ Cruz vs. Kevin Ku vs. One Called Manders vs. Oswald Projects vs. Pinkie Sanchez

This match felt like something was off to me.  I don't think we got to see very much from Oswald other than he can take a beating eat a shit ton of chops.  What little we did see from Oswald looked good.

I want Manders back for a one on one match with Matthew Justice or Dan Maff or Jake Something.   CJ Cruz got the surprise win with his missile drop kick on Kevin Ku.  I think I need to go back and watch this on IWTV.  

JT Dunn vs. Jake Somthing

This match was awesome!  They were different in the fact that stayed in the ring with a stiff and snug match.  Jake Something was over huge and the people hate JT Dunn.  I really dug this match a lot and I really hope we get more of Jake Something next year.  Dunn got the pin with death by elbow.

Last Creature Standing: Kris Statlander vs. Ashley Vox

This did not disappoint.  We got brutality, we got broken furniture, we got the ring boards exposed, and both ladies busted open.  Ashley Vox won, that's all I'm going to say, go watch it, you will not regret it.

Limitless Wrestling returns on January 24, 2020 in Yarmouth, Maine with Brian Pilman Jr., Danhausen and a triple threat match for the Limitless Wrestling World Championship as AG defends against Ace Romero and Christian Casanova.

Roy's Review: Limitless Wrestling May 11, 2018

Here is my review of Limitless Wrestling's Feed the Need in Portland, Maine at Club Portland on May 11, 2018

Match 1: Green Ant, Thief Ant and Nytehawk defeated Hermit Crab, Cajun Crawdad and The Whisper

Going in I didn't really expect much from this match but I was very surprised with it. This was a throwback Chikara match. All the guys worked hard and it showed. If Chikara had more matches like this I might actually watch some of their shows.

Match 2: Brody King defeated Eli Everfly

Brody beat the piss out of Everfly. Everfly did get some really cool high flying spots in but in the end he lost to a sick piledriver.
7.5/10

In Ring: Ace Romero comes out and says he wants to know who his opponent is right now. Anthony Greene comes out. This causes enough of a distraction for Brett Domino to come out and attack Ace Romero, which leads to

Match 3: Ace Romero defeated Brett Domino w/Anthony Greene
Ace squashed him in about a minute.

In Ring: Anthony Greene says that Brett Domino wasn't Ace's opponent. Then AR Fox comes out.

Match 3: Ace Romero defeated AR Fox

They started the fight in the entryway and beat the hell out of each other for a good 10 minutes. Ace hit a sick pounce on Fox blowing him out of the ring.
7.75/10

Match 4: The Dream Team: Austin Theory & Christian Cassanova w/Stokely Hathaway defeated The Workhorsemen: Anthony Henry & James Drake and The Rascals: Trey Miguel & Myron Reed

Great match with tons of crazy action. I was very impressed with The Rascals and I'm hoping they come back. In the end The Dream Team got, in my opinion, a surprise win.

Match 5: Ashley Vox defeated Rachel Ellering

This match was ok but it was very clear that Rachel Ellering was on a completely different level than Ashley Vox. She may have even been holding some back. The ending was very quick and unexpected. I didn't see it coming.

In Ring: Ashley Vox says she has qualified for the Vacationland Cup.

In Ring: The Maine State Posse and Joey Eastman are in the ring for their 5 minutes. Jon Alba was there to kinda be a moderator. Aidan Aggro and Alexander Lee basically tell Joey Eastman to pound sand but Danger Kid teases some dissension among the ranks of MSP. Joey Eastman says that he wants to be the father he can't be to his son to MSP. Danger Kid then slaps Eastman. Eastman then says that he guarantees and MSP victory in July because they will be facing each other in a Triple Threat Match in the Vacationland Cup.

Match 6: Anthony Greene defeated JT Dunn in a Street Fight

Sick match. Very brutal. Anthony Greene got slammed on tacks, took a tombstone on a chair and fell through a table from the top rope but somehow still won. Dunn set up what looked like a chair table and went to slam Greene off the top through it but Brett Domino came out and helped Greene slam Dunn through it instead. Check this out it was really awesome

In Ring: Ace Romero comes out and tells Anthony Greene that in July they will fight each other in a Steel Cage Match.

Match 7: Darby Allin defeated Zachary Wentz

Crazy fast paced match. I don't understand how these guys weren't blown up. The end was very quick with Allin getting Wentz in a neat trapping pin. I would have like to see this match go another 5 minutes.

Match 8: Skylar defeated Kimber Lee

Very good match here. The best Skylar match I've ever seen. She has improved a ton in her time away from Limitless Wrestling. They beat the hell out of each other for a good 10-15 minutes until Skylar got a surprise roll up for the win.
8.75/10

Match 9: Ace Austin defeated AJ Gray, Jake Parnell, Tony Deppen, Bolt Brady and Kevin Ku in a 6 Man Scramble

This may have been the best 6 man scramble in Limitless Wrestling history. Fast paced with tons of action. All of the guys impressed especially Kevin Ku. I saw him wrestle his first few matches 4 or 5 years ago and he has improved drastically. With the win it seems that Ace Austin will become a regular.

Match 10: Free to Think: Jeff Cannonball & Brandon Kirk defeated The Thick Boys: Jon Silver & Jay Freddie

They battled all over ringside for a good 5 minutes before the bell even rang. Once the action got into the ring it settled into a solid tag match. I was surprised to see The Thick Boys lose since they are the top tag team in Limitless Wrestling right now.

Match 11: Josh Briggs defeated Teddy Hart

Absolutely sick match. How these guys were able to walk afterwards is beyond me. They hit at least a dozen sick, backbreaker type moves. In the end Briggs got the win after a chokeslam backstabber. Check this match out. Its great.

In Ring: Teddy Hart puts over the fans, Indy wrestling and Josh Briggs.

In Ring: Josh Briggs says he will win the Vacationland Cup.

This show scored an 88 out of 110 for an overall score of 80.00%. This was an awesome show. Especially the street fight and the main event. Those 4 guys gave everything they had. I was also very impressed with Skylar vs. Kimber Lee. This was the best women's match in Limitless Wrestling history. Check this show out you won't be disappointed.

Limitless Wrestling: Nothing Gold Can Stay Live Report 7/21/2017

Friday night July 21, 2017 Limitless Wrestling returned to the Westbrook Armory for "Nothing Gold Can Stay" that drew another great attendance for the promotion. It was extremely hot in the building this evening, 85 degrees outside and much hotter inside.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman submitted Sami Callihan

It was a good opener, I like both of these guys.  They did an injury angle and Callihan sold it well showing remorse, apologizing to the fans saying he'd come back.  Freidman oversold it with near fake crying that basically screamed I'm faking this.

Friedman snapped Callihan's arm over the rope while faking the injury and then worked the arm for the rest of the match leading to a very surprising submission victory.

Six Way Scramble: Jon Silver defeated "Mind Eraser" Mike Graca, Mr. Grim, Bear Bronson, "New Age Enforcer" James Drake, & Xavier Bell 
This started with two guys in the ring and the other four in corner awaiting a tag.  It quickly broke down to what I thought a scramble is.  It was my first time seeing Bronson and Drake in person.  I was really impressed Drake, his ability inside the ring, how he can move for a guy his size, and his look.

Silver was the star of the match showing some impressive strength german suplexing Bronson whilst he was holding him in a fireman's carry.  I was surprised that after the finish Grim didn't body bag anyone.

Texas Bullrope Match: "Top Shelf" Troy Nelson defeated Wee BL with Syndey Bakabella 
This was advertised at Sydney Bakabella Giant taking on Nelson.  For those that don't recall Bakabella has brought in several wrestlers to take on Nelson in hopes of taking him out.  Nelson has defeated Kikutaru, Dick Justice, & Colt Cabana to date.

Apparently Bakabella did not do proper research as when he thought he was bringing in JBL to challenge Nelson he ended up with Wee BL.  The match itself was lots of comedy, one spot had the rope wrapped around Nelson and when Wee BL pulled on the rope it caused Nelson to hit himself in the face.

The finish was botched, Nelson had hit three corners and has the was going to the forth Wee BL picked up Nelson on his shoulders and walked him across the ring dropping him face first in the top turnbuckle and the referee called for the bell.  The match should not have ended as you have to hit all four turnbuckles in order, essentially Nelson touched turnbuckles 1, 2, 3, and 2.

Bakabella announced that on September 22nd he's bringing in Swoggle to face Nelson.

XWA Champion: Anthony Henry submitted Flip Gordon
I was pretty excited about this match because it had loads of potential and I was not disappointed.

Both guys are pretty evenly matched with Flip's aerial offense and Henry's mat based submission style.  Henry got the submission with a variation of the Regal Stretch that was visually very impressive.

Donovan Dijak pinned Josh Briggs
This is Dijak's finaly match in Limitless Wrestling as he has signed a deal with WWE and is no longer accepting indy bookings.  Dijak got a good send off from the Limitless faithful including the streamer treatment.

My first time seeing Josh Briggs in person, he has not been wrestling long, less than a year but he is already wicked good.  He's a big man himself near 6 foot 7 and he can move!  It was a very good back and for match, not your typical big man match as both of these guys don't lumber around the ring.

Dijak got the win after hitting feast your eyes.  Post match he put over Briggs as being a the next big man in wrestling and the future of Limitless.

At intermission Fenix came out, he didn't arrive until after the show started.  I got both my cards signed a picture with him.  Also I got my Sami Callihan's cards signed and my picture with him.  I snagged a photo with James Drake too.

Le Tabarnak de Team: Mathieu St. Jacques & Thomas Dubois and Buxx Belmar defeated Maine State Posse: Aidan Agro, Danger Kid, & Alexander Lee
This match was awesome!  I enjoyed Le Tabarnak de Team during their last appearance in May, this performance tonight cemented me as a fan of theirs.  Maine State Posse got their normal big reaction as these guys are tremendous fan favorites.  However, something happened part way through the match, almost like Rocky overcoming the partisan Russian fans against Ivan Drago, Tabarnak de Team started getting cheers as the match drew to an end.

On spot in particular, which was awesome saw one member of TDT piledrove Danger Kid onto Alexander Lee who was then hit with two top rope moves from the other members of the team and Lee kicked out.  I was surprised at how much the fans booed when he did.  I get it, it seemed like that should have been the finish of the match if he kicks out of that what won't he.  The answer was when Thomas Dubois got the pin on Lee after an SOS Moonsault.  DAMN!
 

Both teams looked great in the match and I would love to see a return match between them.

JT Dunn pinned Super Crazy
Really good match.  Crazy looked in excellent shape from the last time I remember seeing him.  It was kind of surreal as I never thought I'd see Super Crazy in the ring here in Maine.  It just seems so random to me.  It was a fun match with Crazy getting the majority of the offense in before eating a couple elbows that lead to the pin.

Luke Robinson pinned Cam Zigami w/ Mike Gamble
Good back and forth match with these two evenly matched competitors.  The finish came when Tyler Nitro made a surprise appearance causing the distraction leading to Robinson nailing the superkick for the pin.
 

Post match Nitro and Zigami had a pull apart, Zigami announced that they will meet in a match on September 22nd at the two year anniversary.

AR Fonix: AR Fox & Rey Fenix defeated Take Me Home Tonight: "All Good" Anthony Greene & Ace Romero when Fox pinned Romero

Fantastic match!  The crowd was solidly behind Greene and Romero, and they wanted to cheer Fenix but had no issues booing Fox.  Fenix is so damn fast, he'd throws the kicks out with amazing quickness!  Also the height he gets in the ring and the way he glides through the air is impressive!

Much to my surprise and most others, Fenix and Fox got the win when Fox pinned Romero.  This actually ties Romero and Fox with two pinfalls each over the other.  Greene did not take to kindly to being handed his first defeat ever in Limitless Wrestling blaming Ace for being distracted.

The two went at each other with the locker room separating them.  Brian Fury came to the ring, saying he was disappointed in them both.  He said on September 22nd they would face each other and he would be the special guest referee.

Limitless Wrestling returns to Westbrook at the Armory on Friday September 22nd for their two year anniversary show.  Announced so far:
Jack Swagger 
"Top Shelf" Troy Nelson vs. Swoggle w/ Sydney Bakabella
"All Good" Anthony Greene vs. Ace Romero
Cam Zigami w/ Mike Gamble vs. Tyler Nitro

I predict that Swagger will face JT Dunn

Limitless put on another great show in front of some very appreciative and hot fans.  It was nice when after intermission they opened the sally port door and left it up, it really cooled it down in their.
